I thought is was GREAT!
Admittedly, for the first few minuets, I thought, "Oh no, please don't make this another singing cops show." I was pulling for this to be something watchable, and it was more than.
Good story line, light-hearted fun, and great pop hits that we all remember. You know there will be a segment of America that will hate it, but let's pretend they don't exist.
Keep up the great work
Narcos: Mexico (2018)
Ten All Day!
Just finished the second season. I'd imagine the ridiculously low scores come from the group of hate and misery - those people will never change, so ignore those.
First season was great, the second season's plot was more defined and drawn out, so it may seem slow to begin with, but it'll keep you glued to the end. Great plot twists. You'll be happy. Watch it, and ignore the haters.
Vikings: Valhalla Can Wait (2020)
Cmon, man. No way was this episode a 10. There have been great episodes, but that was long ago. Season 6 has been better than 4 and 5, but this was the worst episode - it just felt disjointed and undefined. I'll be glad when the show ends. I'll watch it until then because it was so good in the beginning, I still hope for a return.
Animal Kingdom (2016)
Better than a 10
This is so far ahead of 99% of series shows. It's all around great. You won't be disappointing in this cali/surf/crime show!
Brittany Runs a Marathon (2019)
I don't know what more you could want from a movie - laugh out loud, heartwarming, inspiring, romantic... I'd suggest this to anyone.
Young & Hungry (2014)
How can anyone get past that laugh track
I was watching the show, and my son came in for a 5 minutes. The first thing he said was, "Do people always laugh like that at these shows?" Then I tried to explain laugh-tracks. I'll admit I watched two episodes - I tried - I can't watch, any more. The laugh track is that annoying.
New Girl (2011)
Stick with Season One
Season one is gut-wrenching funny. Season two is PAINFUL, and I refuse to subject my self to any further agony.
Get past the first 2 - 3 episodes and it's gold!
After several tries, I got past the first 2 - 3 episodes, and this show was fantastic. Couple of guys from The Wire.
Peaky Blinders (2013)
Great, but Season 5 could've been better
The show is well-thought out with suspenseful twists. Fantastic acting. Season 5 seemed to have someone new producing - I don't know what it was, but the cinematography was a lot different. Still, Season 5 was very good. I'm hoping they make Season 6 like 1-4.
In the Tall Grass (2019)
It's not THAT bad
I was entertained throughout the movie. So, that's saying something. I think I watched this on Netflix, and for a Netflix movie, it deserves an 11. I liked the timelines in the movie. If I say much more, I'll give it away. Give it a watch.
It's a really well-made film about real disturbing things. It's hard to watch, but hard not to. The films description was misleading - I thought it would be a screwball comedy, it's not. I liked Alec Baldwin's part, the best.
Good Intentions (2010)
Much better than expected
Good, fun movie. Nothing really offensive. Worth a watch. I'd suggest this to friends. I was entertained throughout. Much better than the description.
Empire Records (1995)
Better this time around
I just watched it, again. Last time was when it was released. It could be nostalgia, but I feel I enjoyed it more this time around.
Give it a shot - it's fun and funny. Lots of young actors, including Liv Tyler.
In the Dark (2019)
Refreshingly Unique - at first
I love it. It's a really different type of story. Some of it's so goofy that it's funny. I don't normally go for these types of shows, but I love this one!
Update: I kind of jumped the gun, and reviewed before I watched the entire season. It slows down and gets fairly monotonous. The actors seemed bored, too - like the show was already canceled.
It's ok for a time-killer, and honestly, it's one of the better things on Netflix, but I doubt, I'd sit through another season.
Red Oaks (2014)
I love this show!
This show brought back so many great memories from that time period in New York. Plus, it's a very fun show with great music. So, why cancel it? Judging from the reviews, a lot of people enjoyed it.
Weird and Great
Season 1 was excellent - a rollercoaster of emotions. Season 2 started off great, but fizzled a little towards the end, still good, just not the goliath of season 1. I'd suggest this to anyone. I'm looking forward to Season 3.
Some fairly weird stuff.
West Side Story (1961)
I first wanted to watch this, somewhere around 1970, but I was young and my Dad wasn't having it. Tonight, I watched the whole thing. Surprisingly, I knew many of the songs. Great stuff!
Definitely different, and worth watching
I gave it 10 because of some ridiculously low ratings. It's a very different at writing and it deserves a watch. You'll enjoy it. Although there aren't any explosions, car chases, or super-heroes.
Mamma Mia! (2008)
Truly, a classic
There are many movies that can be watched more than once, but this is a keeper.
The Kissing Booth (2018)
Plenty of it didn't make sense, but clearly, adults playing teenagers. Why? I mean aside from the teenage drinking. I didn't see the sense in drinking being such a center piece of the movie.
I like it
Normally, I wouldn't have even clicked on the show, but I did. I'd expect some fairly gross stuff about this type of subject matter, and there is, but it's minimal...and funny!
Each episode is only @ 15 minutes. Are they really going to make us wait a year for a new season? Lordy, I hope not, but I'll be ready with my new leather gear when they do!
I'm sad to hear it's canceled.
The first season was very funny.
The second season felt like they changed something, and were going for more drama. The "Artie" episode was a nosedive for me. I'm not sure why they went to all the trouble to develop Artie into the story, then drop a steaming pile on him, but the show took a bit of a downturn for me.
The third season was a nice wrap-up.
It's definitely worth watching. Some really funny moments.
The Beach Bum (2019)
10 to offset the ashwholes who rate low
This was a great film, it's hard to explain, but there are places where the lifestyle is similar. Real freedom is freedom from worry. This is it baby. Be happy. I'll be watching this one until I die. PEACE!
After Life (2019)
Don't believe anyone who gives this less than 10
I never really cared for Ricky Gervaisis, but this one changed my mind. Very intelligent show. Impressive and deeply heart-felt. wow
Into the Badlands (2015)
Love this show!
Get past Episode 1 of Season 1, and it's great after that. Season 3 had a couple episodes where it was a little think with feminism, but other than that, it's a fun, over-the-top Kung Fu story that covers all the emotional bases. I'm looking forward to the second half of Season 3.
Just got done with Season 3. I guess they're canceling the show - too bad, it's a fun show. Hopefully they'll change their minds!
