Ended properly
2 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I was glad that she actually ended up with the guy that had loved her for years. I was glad to see that even though he was much shorter than she was, he was secure enough in who he was to not care that she was taller. My soulmate and I were pretty much the same height when barefoot, but I always wear heals and would tower over him. He loved it. The higher the heels, the better. He was also very secure in who he was. Great to see a movie show that kind of strength of character.

Too much unnecessary swearing and bad language
27 August 2019
The episode itself was okay. I liked the story idea. However, there was a lot of bad language in spots that I felt were just unnecessary.

Too much swearing
8 June 2019
Why can't writers actually write movies that are not full of swearing. This wasn't very funny either. It had a good premise but the writers did a horrible job.

I was looking forward to this
5 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I really liked the original series, so when I heard that this was being made, I was excited. I was looking forward to what new things they would come up with. However, I was disappointed because there is so much swearing. There shouldn't be any swearing in this show. It does not add to the comedy. Since this episode was about a comedian, they should have relied more on the type of comedy that Red Skelton or Victor Borge had. Red Skelton did a how one time and at the end of it, he pointed out that everyone had been laughing the whole time and not once had he sunk to using profanity. I felt that all the profanity in this episode really detracted from it. In fact, in the first few minutes they had a line that almost had me shut it off right then and there. I am going to try at least one more episode, but if it is like this one, I will not continue watching this show.

Yay, Heddy is Back!!!
22 April 2019
I gave it a high rating due to Heddy being back. She is the reason I watch the show. The whole time she was gone was torture. It was so great having her back. She needs to stay back and they need to write her into the show a lot!!!

Fun and emotional
23 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The episode had a lot of different little love stories and stories of good will. The story that I liked best was of the two men, one of whom has dementia. How his partner handles the news is so touching. Made me cry. The two actors did an amazing job. I really enjoyed this one.

Amazing episode. Judd Hirsch and Wallace Shawn were perfect. Great writing. Rollercoaster of emotions. One of the best episodes I have seen on any show ever. This is definitely a must see.

Lore?
3 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Not liking that there is no narration. When there was narration, there was background information that helped explain what made that particular episode part of the Lore. I do not see any lore connection with this story. It was about a couple of guys that murdered people for money, donating the bodies to a doctor for research. That is not lore. That is just murder.

I looked up more information on these two people and some of the information shown in this episode is wrong. They were married, not single. Their wives were in on it with them.

Tired of stupid writers
16 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I am so sick of writers always feeling that it is necessary to have couples have affairs or to kiss someone other than their spouse/significant other. It would be great if we could finally have writers that show couples facing obstacles and sticking by each other. Having couples actaully working at their relationships and not getting involved with other people. I was really looking forward to having Devon stay true to Priya and resisting any temptation to kiss, etc., Julian. I was looking forward to seeing Devon and Julian keeping it strictly platonic and having her show him how to dance so he could surprise Priya at their wedding. I am really hoping that the writers end that whole nonsense with this episode. Because of this nonsense, I graded this a 7 instead of the 8 I would have normally given.

The rest of the episode was great.

Gorsch is gone
8 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So glad that the show ended with Gorsch finally going. Sad that they killed off Severide's dad, but at least they had him honoring the wishes of his son before he died.

I am in agreement with several others that they need to stop the story lines where people are trying to shut down 51. That is an overused and tiresome story line. Move on to stories that center more on great saves and triumphs of severe fires. Have more stories showing some of the fires not ending well and the struggles that the firehouse has to deal with when that happens.

If these current writers cannot come up with better stories, get new writers.

Mike was great
9 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
What a fun episode. There was a part where Axl was finally selling his Winnebago and buying a regular car. He wanted to do it on his own but his dad, Mike, showed up. This was one of my favorite parts. I wish I had someone like Mike to come with me any time I needed to buy a car. He was straightforward with the salesman and got a great price. Sue gets into a competition for a scholarship and actually becomes one of the finalists. I have really enjoyed this show. This is one of the good episodes.

Many plot holes
6 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So, supposedly there is a group of people who have been living for years in the middle of the woods far away from society. That is all well and good except, if they never interact with anyone in society and are completely isolated, where have the people been getting the glasses they are wearing? Where have they been getting their clothes? Where are they getting all of the stuff that they have been using this whole time. They do not want to interact with anyone else because supposedly there is a contagion and anyone not in their little group has this contagion. This also does not explain how they have someone who goes into society and finds any of the people who decide to try and leave their little group. How do they contact that person? How do they not catch this contagion from this person who is out in the world near all the "contagious" people?

The other person who wrote a review also made some good points about how the girl that had escaped and was in a hospital suddenly gets taken while the FBI is keeping an eye on her. And how an FBI agent who is trained manages to get herself captured.

Too many plot holes in this this one. The writers need to go back to school and learn how to write proper stories.

About time
20 April 2018
I have not been fond of the way they have handled the character of Stewart. I have always thought that he was a nice guy and rather cute. I think that it is ridiculous that he never gets a decent date. They are always belittling him. And I have never really thought that it made sense that his comic book store was not more successful. This episode finally brought some great things to Stewart. It was long overdue. I hope that they keep this story line going in a positive direction.

Loved this episode.

Having Peter MacNicol was a brilliant move. He played the role perfectly. Very funny.

Surprising decision made by Sheldon. I really did not expect that from him.

The bachelorette party was okay. Would have liked to see more with that.

So many stars
28 January 2018
There are so many stars in this show. It was great seeing the stars back near where they started. Very good acting. Great music. I watched this back when it was on originally, but I didn't remember much of it. I have the complete series on dvd and have begun watching it again. I am looking forward to seeing all the rest of the episodes. This first one was great.

Are you kidding me?
28 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I totally agree with Xue Victor and his review. Killing off Bob was totally unnecessary and stupid. His character was great. He was super helpful and was even helping Will. I also agree that if they were going to kill off anyone, it should have been Billy, Max's brother. I really hope that this is not going to be a trend with the writers. I hate when writers do this kind of nonsense. The rest of the episode was pretty good. I hope that they can finally figure out how to control this monster and to free Will from its control.

Good Movie
22 June 2017
I do not understand the ridiculously low rating on this movie. It had a good story line. The dinosaur was pretty well made. Some of the close ups of the dinosaur weren't as high quality, but for the most part it was well done.

The acting was pretty good also from the various main characters. Some of the lesser characters didn't do as well at acting.

The dinosaur was cute. Some of the sounds it made were rather odd.

It was a nice, pleasant movie to watch. Quite enjoyable. I recommend ignoring the horrible low rating.

A bunch of horse manure
3 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I was liking this episode until the very end where it was revealed that Savitar is Barry Allen. What a bunch of horse manure. There is no way that Barry Allen would ever kill Iris, the love of his life. There is no way that he would become the Flash. How incredibly stupid. I cannot believe that the writers are this lazy. I cannot believe that anyone else even thinks that this is a great idea. It is totally unbelievable. If this is who the writers were planning on having as Savitar from the beginning, then shame on them. I am incredibly disappointed. I am not sure how I even feel about the show now. If this is the kind of stupid writing that is going to be used in the future, I don't want any part of it. They need to somehow undo this whole bit, because this makes zero sense. I think that they need to get new writers who actually know how to write good story lines. I was prepared to give this episode a high mark like 9, but because of the ending and the reveal, I am giving it a 5. The rest of the episode was great. They just ruined it with making Barry Allen as Savitar.

Another beautiful nature movie by Louie Schwartzberg
8 January 2017
This is one of several short movies made by Louie Schwartzberg. He also made Moving Art: Waterfalls; Moving Art: Forests; Moving Art: Oceans; and Moving Art: Flowers. Although he didn't make Moving Art: Underwater, I believe it goes with the rest of them quite well.

I have watched all of them. They are all quite beautiful and show stunning landscapes. He has done a good job of capturing the beauty of nature and setting it to music that matches the scenery quite well.

With this particular one, I found that it did not take my breath away as much as some of the others did. It was still very pleasing to watch.

I am hoping to one day own the set of these landscape movies. I recommend watching all of them.

Annullment
21 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
So glad that ended right. I really enjoyed this episode. It was great seeing Axl all stressed out and admitting that he did an impulsive and stupid thing. I also liked that the first person he told was his sister Sue. I like it when they have episodes where the two of them get along and he is not insulting her. In fact, at this point, he really should be pretty much past that kind of behavior. He is definitely old enough now that he should have reached that level of maturity.

Then he goes home and intends on telling his mom and dad that he is married, but his mom is so happy that he is back home that he just has a hard time actually telling them. A lot of the episode shows all the great things he does with his mom and the great time the two of them are having. I think that there should be a lot more of that kind of thing as well, because, as mentioned above, he is at an age now where he should have reached a higher level of maturity.

As they are driving around looking at Christmas lights in the neighborhood, per Axl's suggestion, Sue keeps trying to find ways to make Axl finally tell his parents that he is married. However, that happens via a phone call to Frankie from April's mom. Of course, Axl's parents are quite angry. Mike stops the car and they all get out and start chasing Axl trying to find out what possessed him to marry April. Finally, they are back at the house and Axl, Frankie and Mike are all discussing the situation. Axl says that he doesn't know what to do and wants them to tell him what to do. Mike comments that if Axl has to ask his parents what to do, then obviously he should not be married. April's parents and Axl's family all end up down at the courthouse and Axl and April end up getting the marriage annulled.

There is a great bunch of scenes involving Brick and some neighbor kids. I thought that it was great that he was able to handle watching them and babysitting them, keeping them entertained and under control. I was rather disappointed that they ended that whole thing with the mom driving by and seeing the family chasing Axl and comments to her kids that she doesn't want them to ever go over to Brick's house again. I think that they could have really went further with Brick and babysitting and his natural ability to keep kids occupied and happy. He managed to get those three unruly kids to have fun and not be just running around doing crazy stuff. I think that this could easily lead into having Brick think about potentially working with kids once he grows up.

I am very glad that they got the marriage annulled. I am really hoping that they find a way to break Axl and April up. She is such a complete moron. I really do not see why they have the two of them together. She needs to go.

A bit of a problem
21 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is a continuation of the story line that is surrounding MacLeish potentially being named as the Vice President. The previous episode ended with Hannah Mills getting into an automobile accident. So, this one starts with her in the car and a bit out of it. A guy comes up to the car and starts talking to her. At first it looks like he is genuinely wanting to help her, but soon he has his hands around her throat and he is trying to strangle her. She comes to and fights him off and ends up pressing the accelerator and he falls. She crashes into another car and then gets out of the car. Well, when the guy was at first talking to her, it shows that he notices that she has a classified file on her seat next to her. Since she is a trained FBI agent, she should instinctively be trained to be aware of things like that, so I have a real problem with them having her get out of the car and just leave that file sitting there on the seat. Especially after she has had her life being threatened by a guy trying to strangle her. Because of that first goof on her part, I had some problems with parts of the rest of the episode. If they were wanting him to steal that file, they should have had him just do that before she had fully come to. While she was still laying against the airbag on the steering wheel. To have him take it because she forgot to grab it after he tried to kill her just doesn't make sense to me.

There were a couple of other spots that bothered me as far as the incredibly lucky timing and the ridiculously slow timing. One was where the hit-man exits the stairwell just as the security guy says that floor 8 is clear. I don't think that there was really enough time for the security guy to have exited that floor before the hit-man appeared. In fact, the way the scene was shot, it really looked like he got onto the 8th floor just as the security guy passed the door he came from which would have had him basically running into the security guy. OK, let's say that more time had elapsed than they actually showed in that scene. The next part was even worse. He is supposed to be killing the president. He goes into the room that he has set up ahead of time, gets the gun, puts it together and walks over to the window. He takes forever to decide to actually shoot the president. The president was standing at the podium for quite a while talking and during that entire time, the hit-man does nothing. He waits for the president to finish talking and then they start the whole swearing in process for MacLeish. In the meantime, FBI agent Mills is driving like crazy trying to get there. Then she gets out of the car, pushes her way through the crowd trying to get to a point where she can try to locate where the hit-man might be. Now, the fact that the hit-man took so much time before actually attempting to shoot the president allows Mills to get there, see him and then she takes a shot at him. This whole timing is ridiculous. I do not believe that the hit-man would have waited until the president was done speaking. He had a perfect line of sight while the president was at the podium. In my opinion, he would have taken the shot then and made his getaway which would have made FBI agent Mills too late to do anything. If they were wanting her to stop the attack, then they should have written to where she got there much sooner than she did and had her stopping the whole thing while the president was at the podium. Because of these errors on the writers' part, I am giving this episode a 7/10.

Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy are great
5 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The show begins with Reno Collier doing a few jokes. They are fairly good. He then introduces Bill Engvall. Bill Engvall's set was great. He was funny as usual. I have always liked him and he did not disappoint here.

Next up was Jeff Foxworthy. He had a lot of great jokes in his routine and I was really enjoying the show up to this point.

When he finished, Larry the Cable Guy was up next. He was not very funny and after watching it for about 5 minutes, I fast forwarded to the end of his routine.

After his routine ends, Reno Collier comes out and then has Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy come out and all four of them sit onstage together and Reno has several questions or requests from the audience that he asks the various comedians and he even contributes as well. This part was great. Even Larry the Cable Guy was funny during this part of the show.

I recommend watching this (but if you, like me, find that Larry the Cable Guy's solo routine is not that funny, just fast forward past him and then finish watching).

Just Watch Jeff Foxworthy
5 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
If this had been just a Jeff Foxworthy comedy special, I would have given this show a 9/10 rating. Jeff Foxworthy is the first one to come out and he does the first half of the show. His material was fresh and very funny. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him.

Then, Jeff Foxworthy leaves the stage and Larry the Cable Guy comes out. The very first thing he starts off with is a bit on Git-R-Done. I think I mildly chuckled only twice during his whole routine. I was very disappointed and kept wishing that the show had either already ended when Jeff Foxworthy was done or that Jeff would come back out and finish the show. At one point during Larry the Cable Guy's routine, they panned out to the audience and showed Jeff Foxworthy sitting there. He was not laughing. That got me wondering if he actually thinks that Larry the Cable Guy is funny. I know I sure didn't find him to be very amusing.

My recommendation is that you watch the show up until the point where Jeff Foxorthy's routine is done. Then stop watching. It is not worth your time. I almost stopped watching after a few minutes into Larry the Cable Guy's routine, but I kept waiting and hoping that it would get better. It didn't.

Nicely done
3 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I am a Rutger Hauer fan, so when I saw this movie on Netflix, I had it delivered. I was very pleased with the movie. Rutger Hauer delivers a great performance, as usual.

I do not usually care too much for love scenes. But, the few they had in this movie were great. I chalk that up to the fact that they involved Rutger Hauer.

I had figured out the killer early on but didn't know what the motive was. The motive took me by surprise. Even though I was sure of who the killer was, the movie was able to keep me in suspense and had me wondering if I was right.

I thought that the story line was good. There were just the right number of twists and turns. I was very interested in the characters and what was happening with them.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a lot of the writing was done by Quentin Tarantino. It isn't like Kill Bill or any of the others that have massive violence and blood. I am not a fan of Kill Bill, so the fact that this was very different than that was a bonus.

I was getting worried near the end of the movie that it might not end correctly. I am very particular about movie story lines and endings. Most of the time I am not a fan of unhappy endings, not am I a fan of movies that leave you hanging with a bunch of unanswered questions. This wrapped everything up pretty neatly.

I do not know why so many people gave this movie such low ratings. I think that it is very well done and most definitely worth watching.
