The Morning Show (I) (2019– )
9/10
I can't remember a show with a more perfectly picked cast of actors for non-fiction characters.
25 March 2020
9.5/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌌 I believe the casting directors for this series have absolutely without a doubt achieved the highest degree of perfection with every selection they've made for each role. I don't think people realize how strenuous and exhausting a non-fiction big production can become especially when it entails dark comedy but selecting the right chemistry of characters to portray actual real life people or events along with the most important factor which is entertaining the audience should not be overlooked. I've been waiting for this series and I never expected for it to be this good but I will say I hate iphones they have nothing on my Samsung Note+ but when it comes to the shows on AppleTV "SEE", "The Servant", and now "The Morning Show" are undoubtedly in my top ten of best TV series I've watched in the past half decade. This is what I consider must see TV.

The Platform (2019)
9/10
Original, Outrageous, Ominous, Outstanding
21 March 2020
9/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 I don't often see movie trailers with English subtitles that peak my interest so much I anticipate it's release for over 8 months. Since so many films have been let downs through out the years it's really great when a film isn't just what you expect but over delivers on so many levels. "The Platform" fits that description to a T. From the start the mystery and intrigue of this detention center is magnified by not only the prisoners but the administration that caters to them. Some disturbing movies aren't so much driven by an original idea layered with intelligence and thought provoking content, Most rely heavy on shock value and cynicism. That is not the case with "The Platform" it contains all of those attributes and delivers them brilliantly at a pace that keeps you glued to the screen from the opening until the closing credits. This film definitely has my nomination for indie foreign film of the year. I enjoyed "Parasite" but this film gets the winning edge from me in 2020.

I'm an IMDB prolific reviewer. This was a very good and solid film. From top to bottom.
20 March 2020
8/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 I admit I only took a chance on this film because of Liev and afterwards I read a review here claiming this film had the most fake positive ratings. Well I'm not fake with over 300 reviews and I undoubtedly enjoyed this film. This style of filming called RASHOMON-style ( A story where the same event or timeline is recounted by several characters.) Is impressive on a few different levels. Of course the acting is superb no need to mention the names and no one did horrible as some people would lead you to believe, But the premise of this storyline through contrasting these characters different economic classes shows more similarities than not. The pace of the films pretty good but it can be a tad jarring because of the style I mentioned where each character returns to a previous point in time but from their point of view. But as the story unfolds and informations revealed the character development is awesome to see. Yes I would recommend this film most will highly enjoy it, Don't believe a loathing Variety or Ebert review. The majority always feels the opposite of what they write anyway and you will too.

Bloodshot (2020)
7/10
A by the numbers action & Sci-fi film with Vin Diesel pulling off his usual antics.
7 March 2020
7/10🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 This film gets right to the point and doesn't hesitate revealing the true nature of each character. The premise isn't original and although it's been done more times than I can count more recently the film "UPGRADE"comes to mind but the pace of the film is quick so you never get a chance to harbor on the flaws of each scene. Plus it's always a treat to see Eiza Gonzalez so there's that. The Acting and special effects are of the usual Hollywood grade nothing spectacular Vin shows his usual grimace right before he roars with anger vowing to get revenge on the villain who double crossed him. But it's not a bad film it could've been a little more action it seemed kinda short but I guess they say time flys when your having fun. Yes I would recommend this film for action fans alike no matter the age it's mild at Pg-13.

Little Joe (2019)
3/10
A perfect 101 guide on how to film good acting, Videography with stunning visuals, Write an intriguing storyline and still find a way to make a bad movie and waste potential.
1 March 2020
3/10 🌠🌠🌠 This film was an absolute waste of time. Did I like the characters and the acting? Yes. Did the videography and color schemes utilizing the props, sets and wardrobe look beautifully amazing? You better believe it. But just like the film "Gwen" (2018) which claims to be a folk tale derived from Wales, Although the look and vibe of the film was similar to "The Witch" or more recently "Gretel & Hansel" the film itself was horrendous leaving you with more questions than answers and wasting a storyline that has so much potential. But "Little Joe" does the opposite by giving you a very intriguing storyline just to mope around from scene to scene and literally go nowhere with a minuscule climactic ending. Someone mentioned violence what violence an off screen punch with the perception of hitting someone or the falling over a ledge that you don't see happen or even the body laid out as the aftermath. To be considered a slow burn you have to actually catch fire at some point and this film didn't even create a spark. The style and quirky feel of the movie was great but this isn't a music video if you make someone sit through 1hour 45mins of mostly boredom you can't possibly lead them towards a path that goes nowhere and expect viewers not to become furious at the conclusion. I give this a hard pass. Waste your time if that's what your into but i can't get my two hours back and damn I hate when that happens.

Guns Akimbo (2019)

This feature is actually one of Radcliffe's better films.
28 February 2020
8/10🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 Why are people hating on fun films all of a sudden as if wizards and warlocks are fact based documentaries and over the top action comedies are a step too far. This film brings it from the opening credits until the last scene. I was a little weary about watching it from a couple reviews I read but the film was way more enjoyable than described. The storyline is original and it takes enough time to build anticipation without being predictable and that goes a long way for dark action comedies that either try and be too cool and fall short of fast and furious or too Hi-tech imitating 007 or mission impossible this film does well with better than average effects on a moderate budget while being hilarious throughout the entire film. Definitely a must watch if you like fun rides don't sleep and skip this flick. Between Daniel and Samara Weaving I had a blast.

I've been in love with Stacey Dash my whole life but I have no tolerance for B movies.
19 February 2020
2/10 🌠🌠 = SACRIFICE From the start hearing the cheesy opening music over the credits and the first scenes audio sounding like the actors were speaking into a bottle was enough for me to cringe and realize I wouldn't be watching the totality of this film, Combined with the lack of Sfx and the horrible acting skills of the guy who plays the psychotic father with PTSD in the first 10 mins. was just too overwhelming to overcome. Stacey Dash or not this one is a hard pass.

BOOORRRRING, Come back and try again is what Elijah Wood should of told his agent
8 February 2020
🌠🌠🌠 3/10 = Blasphemy I read a few of these reviews and got tricked into wasting my time on this one. It's not disturbing or a horror the few scenes it does have are childs play. Definitely not good it wastes an hour on trivial nonsense with two characters in the beginning and then shoots off like a rocket as you speed date with a bunch of uninteresting under developed characters with stupid dialogue accompanying this lucid trip. Yes it's a comedy and I giggled a few times but those moments were spread so wide and thin I can't even remember what was funny. So no I wouldn't recommend this film theres a reason why it didn't get much exposure this film isn't good and the premise has been done too many times but this may be the worst of it's kind.

The rating below 5 doesn't do this film justice, Albeit some audio issues here and there it's a way better film than average.
15 January 2020
7/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 Here's the thing, When indie films are released there isn't usually a lot of fanfare and the promotion is at a minimum. So taking the leap of faith and watching the whole film is an ongoing process as you know but "A Home With A View Of The Monster" has a few key things that gives you comfort your not wasting your time. 1).Let's begin with the description on a If you read what a film is about and it's more than 15-30 words it's usually a clear giveaway the movie is bad. Indie films usually make this mistake great films never take more then 3-4 lines to peak your interest. The description of this film was superb. Short & Sweet 2). The introduction, Grading the camera and audio quality for indie films can literally mean everything. Because if the first 2 mins. Look shabby or sound horrible I'm cutting it off instantly which is why I'm a little peeved at the audio here because the camera and angles were great from start to finish even the effects were up to par considering the budget, Although the twins in the forest scene could've flowed smoother but that's not an issue. My problem was sound and 90% of it was fine but early on there are some audio mixing issues and the background sound effects are way too loud and the voices have segments that drop down to a whisper and if you turn it up to hear it more clear the background becomes unbearable, you see where I'm going with this it happens enough to make it a nuisance but not enough to totally ruin the film so for that fact I give a pass but it's worth mentioning. And lastly 3). Storyline and Acting Written and Directed by Alex & Todd Greenlee, The Greenlee Brothers whose youtube page states "even with a low budget we strive to make great flicks" Are undoubtedly living up to their reputation. The story was original, intriguing and relatatable. The dialogue was on point so I assume the screenplay was well crafted. I think it could of picked up the pace early on but it wasn't a super slow burn. It had some predictable moments but they were revealed at odd sequences so they caught me off guard a bit which was a good thing. The acting was good all around. Early on when first meeting the male antagonist was a little shaky and not just the camera but once the story started unraveling his role provided an opportunity to show the most range and he delivered. Would I recommend this flick yes especially for indie lovers who enjoy very mild horror but with substance. There's too many movies not worth watching but this film isn't one of them.

6 Underground (2019)
9/10
WARNING: DO NOT LISTEN TO THE HATE, This film is great and has some of the best action sequences I've ever seen.
13 December 2019
To say this film is super fast funny and witty from start to finish would be an understatement. What's so impressive about this film is that after watching 100 fast and furious films and carbon copys "6 UNDERGROUND" raises the bar to an entirely higher level. The camera angles combined with a radiant spectrum of colors that flash through each scene not only at times puts you directly in the driver's seat but the excitement of it all is incredibly enjoyable to watch. (Ryan Reynolds) leads this all star cast and plays his usual type of character, The adventurous, funny, slightly frightened but extremely likable guy, only this time he's a billionaire who leads a 5 persons elite secret team on a vendetta to right all the wrongs in the world. Expect to see Michael Bay make many more sequels under this franchise while it builds a cult following. If all the over the top hollywood action films could produce this quality there wouldn't be a lot to complain about.

I'm not sure if I should be mad at myself or this movies promotional budget for this film flying under my radar for 10 months after it's released.
12 December 2019
I'll make this quick. For the first hour of this movie I wouldn't say it was bad I guess it qualifies as a slow burn because the dialogue was witty and the actors are supreme but it was undoubtedly teetering on boring and after seeing a lifetime of a thousand movies you lose hope that things will turn around and become epic. Low and behold "Dragged Across Concrete" is the epitome of that kind of film and as you think back on the time it spent building backstory you become appreciative of that time spent. It's well choreographed and directed and events happen in the blink of an eye which amplifies the moments many will feel are quite disturbing. All in all it's not apologetic when dealing with race or degrading gender but it's a film that will be on a short list of classics that are memorable and well received. These are films worth paying for and it's a tragedy their not promoted like most Hollywood duds.

Climax (I) (2018)
10/10
Outstandingly Unrivaled Legendary & Disturbing Hall of Fame Cinema
11 December 2019
10/10🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

When you rate something a 10 your basically saying in short, whatever endeavor your rating before you is a perfected work of art. There are 3 types of amazing films, Those that keep you highly entertained, Those that expand your mind on what's possible and Those that shake you to the core and invoke disturbing emotions carving out a little piece in your mind that will never allow you to forget what you're eyes reluctantly seen. "CLIMAX" By all accounts doesn't just embody all of those traits it pushes the limits of those attributes and dares to raise the bar. When you first begin the film it kind of whispers as you watch slowly creeping along as the characters ramble and speak giving you a glimpse of what they're mind may percieve. But all bets are off once the stage is set and after 5 mins. Of revving the engines the gas peddle is smashed and like a rocket the film blasts off. The dialogue of this film is so jaded and amazingly fresh. As you watch a lifestyle to most that's absolutely foreign and yet each scene reveals elements you can relate. The beauty of the characters dancing and the videography form such an amazing connection you never lose step of what is seen. And as the movie unfolds so does the camera angles bringing you the viewer and the characters to a climactic embrace you literally feel the effects that they are portraying on screen. The realism of this film is terrifyingly unmatched and it doesn't take the peasant road of filming it through found footage to try and fake feeling real.. No it's authenticity is the dance group who some are admittedly just meeting each other so as there relationship grows the viewers grow along with it amplifying a feel that's genuinely real and not rehearsed. There are so many characters to meet at once it may seem hard to distinguish on first glance but every character is tied to a specific style of dance and you get acquainted by watching them move. With amazing talent that everyone of them possess you feel an admiration and respect regardless of how much your really into dancing yourself. To say Gaspar Noe is a great director and writer would be a pitiful label to thrust upon his film that ignites a magnificence rarely achieved by the best filmmakers of all time. It may be compared to other films I really loved like "SUSPIRIA" to name one and I'm ok with that, It's fair game to compare but the feeling I got when the final shot turned white is way past and above any of those compared films whether it's the remake or original... 10 stars means one thing.. A superior perfected work of legendary cinematic art..

Are you kidding me! 30K never looked better. A small budget storyline but a million dollar plot twist.
10 December 2019
The thing about great movies isn't just about one aspect it has to combine the elements well enough that each of them seperately can hold their own respectively. The storyline, The acting, The look, The pacing and directing. You want everything to mesh well and not stick out like a sore thumb for lack of a better word and be the one element that holds a project down when it could of lifted off. Now for all intents and purposes that element and aspect for this film "The Head Hunter" should and in 99% of all cases would be the shoe string budget of around 30K. Now whether that's in Euros or my slightly watered down American green backs it still isn't getting you too far when it comes to producing a film worthy enough for todays everyone in the world now is a super duper TV watching who cares about Siskel and Ebert they know nothing critics who I myself am apart of world where indie films don't get watched if they are too subpar. But beyond the fact that early on you may have wanted to see more action and figured the budget couldn't cut it but then later realized it was sort of tucked away perfectly to make later scenes that much more dramatic, It just really shows the effort and ingenious put behind such a beautifully shot feature with elegant dreary and dark scenes that blended so well with the over all feel of this feature I am like another reviewer stated, literally blown away. Definitely the best small budget under 100K flick I've ever seen. And I've seen quite a bit, most of'em I couldn't make it all the way through but atleast I've attempted quite a bit.. KUDOS to those involved for this one the awards are well deserved.. I'll be looking for future endeavors.

His Dark Materials (2019– )
9/10
No it's no HARRY POTTER, But I dare to say it could be better.
10 December 2019
Harry Potter is so 2 decades ago & Those comparing and complaining need to get a grip. "His Dark Materials" is not a carbon copy by any means even though fantasy genres may have similarities. But comparing a movie to TV series will lead you down the path of apple's and oranges especially when you consider "His Dark Materials" deals with a much more mature themed narrative and storyline. "His Dark Materials" is about a powerful and wealthy religious based cult organization that's abducting or kidnapping kids for a mysteriously cynical reason. It's also very apparent that Harry Potter which mostly takes place at a magical school for witches and warlocks, "His Dark Materials" will not only span across countries and continents it will delve into different dimensions and parallel universes. For fantasy lovers this will be a much needed new addition to the genre as Dafne Keen is sensational while guided by many amazing veteran actors like Ruth Wilson, Lin-Manuel, James Cosmo, Clarke Peter's and oh yeh James McAvoy to name a few. Don't feed into the hate for comparisons sake, This show will carve out a spot in TV history all on it's own without any help from Dumbledore trust me.

Watchmen (2019)

Simply put: The best elevating series in TV history.
9 December 2019
There's basically too much to cover when trying to explain why "WATCHMEN" is so captivating and original. There are a thousand reviews and this one will get lost in the haystack of opinions. But the simplest way to cut through every opinion and give you the most gripping reason to watch is the fact that every episode truely without a doubt just gets better and better. I started out thinking it was pretty good and I am now just left in awe at how amazingly refreshing this show is on a week to week basis. Damon Lindelof has done an outstanding job. It's truely remarkable. My advice, You have to watch it.

STOP LYING! THIS WAS NOT BETTER THAN THE WITCH.
8 December 2019
"HAGAZUSSA" For the most part is a very dark and grim atmospheric film that's beautifully shot and well performed by the actors. It had great potential to go beyond the depth of "The Witch" but doesn't scratch the surface enough for you to feel enlightened or better informed by what you just witnessed for an hour & 45 minutes. The lack luster ending that everyone falsely raves about is pathetic and that's a gross understatement. Did the film have it's moments yes but none of them were slam dunks and every one of those scenes left points on the board because it never followed through. Whether lying in bed with her mother or watching from behind her in the lake from 50 yards away, That's not enough when you compare it to films like "MIDSOMER" or "HEREDITARY". Definitely had potential but nothing here is a must see or disturbing enough to make it memorable 6 months from now. And that's truly disappointing to waste such a good effort.

The Purge (2018– )
8/10
People are missing the point. Backstories are the engine that drives a series.
12 November 2019
8/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 = Heavy Praise

Season 1 for The Purge TV series isn't that different from the movie itself. There are characters who have a small storyline that occurs throughout the nite during the purge which they extended through 10 episodes. Season 2 however is a much deeper and expanded out look answering the question we've all been quietly asking ourselves since the first movie was released in 2013, How does the city go about life the other 364 days of the year. What is revealed is a riveting portrayal of rules we knew nothing about. From the start we even meet the amazing voice actor behind the infamous woman who conducts the announcements. Yes I understand most people watch The Purge because of the violence and gore, I myself am a big fan of disturbing movies. I've seen the most sick and disgusting movies ever filmed throughout the world so I'm not squeamish but the scene featuring the murder of the strawberry dairy farmer is nothing to balk at for a TV series. It may only last about 30 seconds but the scene is very graphic and horrifying due to it's realistic appearance and overly harsh tone.

People by now should understand and have a good grasp of the many terrifying ways someone can be killed or hunted down during those 12 hours murder becomes legal. But fans should be anxious to learn more and commend the writers, showrunners and directors for keeping the story relevant and entertaining as it continues to grow and evolve. Kudos too those behind it.

Eli (I) (2019)
7/10
Started very well, floundered in the middle but the ending was epic.
19 October 2019
I don't believe people are looking at this in the long term as they should. It's quite clear the character Eli is at the beginning of his journey. And I believe if it was a series instead of a movie it would've been better. So keeping that in mind there were some scenes I feel could have been less predictable or more original because I couldn't stop thinking about the film "Brightburn" while watching "Eli" even though it's a totally different story and it does have it's own merits. The Videography and production for this film is stunning with amazing camera angles and special Efx the tone of the film is bleak but it was very enjoyable to watch. The acting held true it wasn't the best performance from the Amazing Kelly Reilly but it sufficed as all the acting did but throughout the middle there were scenes that just seemed to fill the timeline and prepare for the finale that I feel albeit very brief was a good payoff. Obviously most horror fans will want more it wasn't a frightening film it mainly lands on thriller but it was a movie I would reccomend to watch and will wait for the next ones to fill that void and pick up where it left off.

The Room (2019)
9/10
An amazing tale centered on greed, mortality, confinement and the consequences they lead too.
16 October 2019
9/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 = Heavy Praise This film starring the gorgeous Marianne Bourg with Kevin Janssens who plays her husband is an entertaining thriller that begins as a fairytale dream but quickly becomes a nightmare almost instantly. The acting, pace and storyline is marvelous. This topic has been done before, a movie that comes to mind is "The Brass Tea Pot". But "The Room" not only has a very unique approach to the topic I believe it does it better. The suspense of what decisions they will make are priceless literally. John Flanders who plays John Doe also has a pivotal role and performs well. This film will be well recieved by most I definitely recommend this film and it's my pick for film of the month.

If you don't pay for good special Fx, You can't disguise it by having scenes darker then the G.O.T finale episode.
15 October 2019
It's not bad but it's not good either definitely a mediocre film. Yes it delivered some degree of suspense large in part due to the concept and topic but the big reveal looked like something crafted from the 90's and with a very miniscule amount of backstory revealed on every character which counts up to be 5 it all just unravels like a run of the mill monster movie. The actor wasn't bad she has better films in her repertoire as a co-star but she handled the role well enough. I would recommend this film as something to see on a rainy day but nothing here was amazing or great.

Among Thieves (2019)
5/10
This review is based off the idiocy of a movie that speaks 2 languages and no subtitles
15 October 2019
The movie seems to be pretty good. It's not a blockbuster budget involved but it's well crafted and the actors are talented and seem genuine. Here's the issue, when it begins there's 5 guys who are in a 18 wheelers trailer compartment arguing in English. After about 30 seconds you realize there speaking spanish with English voice overs. Cool not a problem it's pretty well synced so there's no issue, All of a sudden they flash to a police district scene and they are speaking spanish with no subtitles. But the movie continues like that flashing back and forth with the gang speaking english and the cops speaking spanish. I don't know why they wouldn't add voiceovers to the entire film or just add subtitles. It almost seems like they ran out of voice over actors it's very perplexing they must have another version preparing for release but until then you have to be bilingual to enjoy this film.

Lucky Day (2019)
3/10
A Wasteful, Unfunny, Canadian Bacon Cinematic Butcher Fest.
14 October 2019
For a film that's supposed to be over the top with outrageous scenes and funny antics this was just way out of place. The characters were super unoriginal like the foreign hitman who flys in from another country who's butchering a French accent that's so bad it's not funny. The timing of all the scenes were awkward and super corny at best. There's even a ton of mistakes. Like the hitman steals the car from the garage and leaves his suitcase on the roof of the car then drives off and it appears later when he goes in the bar. Or When he's pulled over by the cops and has gloves on and then steps out and doesn't hav'em on and then shoots the gun and they magically appear on again. I mean did they even screen this in the editing process c'mon I'm not even a stickler for these things so i know millions of others seen it also. Just real shabby work all around the board and you can tell this film was not cheap to make so somebody funded a crappy attempt at an off the wall comedy. The acting is bad because the writing is horrible and the actors even show it on their face they know it's not good and you can even tell they know. Theres so much not to like I wouldn't recommend this film it's definitely not worth a watch.

A bad attempt by German filmakers to create a Nickelodeon type kiddie comic book hero
10 October 2019
4/10 🌠🌠🌠🌠 Good videography and pace with a modern appeal. A pleasant atmosphere on screen and for what it's worth maybe kids under the age of 9 may find some entertainment watching this but the science along with the storyline and scene scenarios make no sense and are honestly atrocious. Whether it's how she develops her powers or the reaction of her parents when they find out or the solution to solve it everything is phony or extra lame. It also didn't help trying to plagiarize Marvels intro at the beginning of flipping through the comic book pictures of heroes in their collection. I do however like the lead actress she seems talented and genuinely adorable along with her co-stars but my 12yo daughter wasn't amused in the slightest so I wouldn't recommend this for any kids around that age.
