Ahlat Agaci (2018)
Let me save you 3 hours of your time
So, it goes like this. A guy walks for a long time, then talks to someone for half an hour. You think it's important and try to follow, but the acting is too level all the way and the dialogue overly pretentious so it gets too boring and you go the toilet or have some tea. When you return, the characters are still talking, but it doesn't look like you've missed much. When the scene is finally over you find out that the director just dropped this plot line as it leads to nowhere, and it's okay you didn't see half of it. Then the main character walks again for a long time, finally finds someone else to talk to and the story repeats. They talk, then the subject is dropped completely and the guy he talked to never appears again. Then he walks again... You get it. And after 3 hours the movie just ends.
What We Do in the Shadows (2014)
One of the worst movies I have seen in a very long time
I usually don't write reviews on IMDb, but I made an exception this time to prevent people from making the mistake I did by watching this piece of crap. Don't trust the high ratings. Don't be fooled by praising reviews. This is a horrible movie. You won't laugh a single time in this "comedy" if you have at least some sense of humour. This is as bad as it only can be - boring, long, badly filmed, badly acted - and it doesn't even fall into "so bad it's good" category. Just a steaming pile of horse manure. Totally overrated. Don't waste your time. Move along. Watch something good instead. Mostly the ratings here are reflecting the quality of a movie. This one doesn't.
Blue Jasmine (2013)
I'm personally a huge admirer of Woody Allen's work, but this particular movie left me disappointed. I never laughed during the whole running time, never it provoked a thought, as previous director's movies did. The main character is well-played, but it's just not possible to sympathize with that hysterical bitch - she got what she deserved. All the film I kept asking myself - so what, why should I feel with her or any other characters in the movie? Sorry Woody, but this one is a totally forgettable experience. For anyone who wants to make himself acquainted with Allen's work, I'd strongly recommend to start with Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters, Manhattan or Husbands and Wives.
