It made me fall in love with film-making even more
This isn't a perfect movie whatsoever. But the effort behind it and how good it turned out to be make me appreciate it so much. I've never felt so immersed in a movie's atmosphere. It's as if you could smell the salt coming from the water.
I'll say it again, the BALLS it took to create an actual shark, and god, do you know how many times this stupid machine broke? It makes me appreciate it.
Tonari no Totoro (1988)
It's like being a kid again
You know when you're a kid and you just want to be independent? You want to become an adult once and for all? And later on when you're there realize that being a kid was the best moment of your life? This movie, plus its great OST achieves making me nostalgic, making me feel like a little kid again. Yes, you have these high budget animated movies like The Lion King, but they're movies for kids, not a movie to make you feel that nostalgia. My Neighbor Totoro's main theme captures this perfectly. If you could only go back to those beautiful times, when nothing mattered, wen you could play all day and run around the house...
I love this movie!
Kenpû Denki Berserk (1997)
Liked it? Good, read the manga.
That summarizes it, the reason I give this an 8 is due to some lazy animation moments where it truly takes you out of the experience. I'm a hug Berserk fan, and if you're reading this and you're wondering "But that ending didn't finished anything" Yup, read the manga, when you're caught up, you'll wish it never ended.
The Walking Dead (2010)
Why do you have to be such a slow show?
I hate to see how much time things take to unfold in every damn season starting from Season 2. Hey, Carol's girl is missing, let's spend countless episodes on that. Hey, let's stretch this prison part! At the beginning of S5 and S7 is when I was with an actual interest of wanting to know what was going to happen, only to be let down in S7 after the first episode. Not so much in S5 tho, I enjoyed it. Right after 7 and seeing what 8 had to offer I gave up on it. Now its just one of those shows who have countless seasons to keep on making the fat stacks benjis.
Breaking Bad (2008)
It's ok I guess
Re-Watched it 7 times and counting. I guess I liked it.
Prison Break (2005)
Prison Break's S1 was top notch. I give it a 7 due to the rest of the seasons. Yes, they're in for a bigger game, they needed them, but I just can't help myself but feel genuinely not as invested like I was in S1. S2 was stretched like a piece of gum as well as S4. I haven't gotten around 5 yet. In all honesty I'm just not interested, all I see is a season born out of nowhere, just for the simple fact of "Hey, have some more Prison Break"
