Chasing Liberty (2004)
I found this movie to be fun and enjoyable to just go see with the girls, but if you're looking at this movie as if was supposed to be more, you'll be disappointed. It was entertaining and fun, and I highly recommend it. Just remember that not all movies have to be intellectually stimulating, they are there to entertain you, and this one does just that.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
"This rerun looks familiar"
The little boy in Family Circus once said, "This rerun looks familiar." That somes up everything I can say about Buffy... you can watch again and again and again, and it never grows old. Having watched since the beginning and still watching, I couldn't love it more. Still, I'm hooking people on the show with the DVD's, allowing them to watch from the beginning and in order. It fills a void, with true, honest emotion and story-telling in a totally new way, with metaphors. Stand out episodes include "Angel" (01.07), "Prophecy Girl" (01.12), "Halloween" (02.06), "Reptile Boy" (02.05), "Surprise" (02.13), "Becoming Part 1 and 2" (02.21/02.22), "Amends" (03.10), "The Prom" (03.20), "Earshot" (03.18), "Wild At Heart" (04.06), "Hush" (04.09) (Almost an entire episode and no audible dialogue!), "Restless" (04.22) (Almost an entire episode done in a dream sequence!), "Fool For Love" (05.07), "The Body" (05.16) (No music in the entire episode), "The Gift" (05.22), "Once More, With Feeling" (06.07) (A musical! Both Amber Benson and Anthony Stewart Head have heavenly voices, James Marsters can hold his own, as well as the rest of the cast!), "Normal Again" (06.17), "Grave" (06.22), and "Chosen" (07.22)... and that's just naming a few. I really can't recommend this show enough. Now that the audience has the ability to watch from the beginning, in order, on DVD, I recommend everyone take that opportunity. It's worth your time and money.
