Storyline

Four exceptional women mount grassroots campaigns against powerful incumbents in Knock Down the House, an inspiring look at the 2018 midterm elections that tipped the balance of power. When tragedy struck her family in the middle of the financial crisis, Bronx-born Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had to work double shifts as a bartender to save her home from foreclosure. After losing a loved one to a preventable medical condition, Amy Vilela didn't know what to do with the anger she felt about America's broken health care system. Cori Bush, a registered nurse and pastor, was drawn to the streets when the police shooting of an unarmed black man brought protests and tanks into her neighborhood. A coal miner's daughter, Paula Jean Swearengin was fed up with watching her friends and family suffer from the environmental effects of the coal industry. Written by Netflix

Pelosi summed it up best with "AOC's district would elect a glass of water if it were blue"
2 June 2019 | by trimblairSee all my reviews

AOC and the other democrats in this film is a nice summary of what is wrong with America today. The "anyone but Trump" mentality is a hard fail. When Trump was nominating Supreme Court justices, more than one Congressman on the left said "we will object to any name he puts up, even if we like the nomination." And that is the pathway they have taken since 2016 with a $35M investigation that is coming back to bite them. AOC is shown here as a dreamy-eyed, smart, politically savvy congresswoman with new ideas and a fresh perspective. They don't show how she didn't understand how a garbage disposal works and has a 450 credit rating. They don't show her getting fired 5 years ago from a hot dog stand due to incompetence. The other new faces are a Muslim woman whose terrorist rants have embarrassed the party all the way to Pelosi rebuking her for being to left for the far left. Another congresswoman whose career is a series of successes on a very personal level. If this is the best the left has to offer, I will buy flowers for the funeral. More liberal spin from the new member of the Netflix board of directors, BHO.
