Trivia

About halfway through this episode, Patton Oswalt's character mentions he's part of a group called "Murderheads", who devotes their free time to solving cold cases, including a specific serial killer. In reality, Oswalt's first wife, Michelle McNamara was so obsessed with the Golden State Killer that, not only did she write a true crime book about the 44-year-long case, but by doing so, helped capture the infamous murderer. At the after-party of Dick's movie, Clyde Pickett identifies the girl Dick is talking to as underage by confirming she was Class of 2015. That would place the timeline for this season as only two years after the events of Veronica Mars. But later this season in Veronica Mars: Heads You Lose, Leo mentions that Veronica and Logan have been dating for 5 years, which would have begun at the end of Veronica Mars at the earliest. Why the hatin'?

As witty as the original, V & her dad's classic snark is still on point! Plus Logan & V are still kind of a mess but we keep rooting for them no matter what ;-) I love that JK Simmons is in the cast, he's fantastic in everything he does. Great writing, great acting and a stellar return of one of the smartest shows around.
