Outrageous Fortune
27 February 2019 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

Frank and Luella return for some easy going adventures with a fistful of references to the Bard. I got an inkling that the budget has increased this time around.

A lawyer George Gonzalo is administering the estate of the late Theodore Athenaeus. He comes to see Frank and Lu about a missing dog.

The mongrel Tim stands to inherit his late master's fortune. He already lives the life of luxury. There is a reward of £25,000 if they find the pampered pooch.

Frank and Lu jump at the chance, Sebastian asks about his cut of the reward money. Pretty soon a ransom demand is made. Both think this might be an inside job.

A welcome return of what was an enjoyable first series. Mark Benton and Jo Joyner have a good chemistry, Patrick Walshe McBride adds a lot of fun.

The mystery might have been spoilt a bit by having a performer who tends to play a sinister baddie too often. However a little twist is added, all for Tim's benefit.
