Episode 1.3
21 October 2018 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

The Cry certainly seems to have pacing problems. Episode 2 ended with a twist. The night baby Noah disappeared, there was no baby in the car.

The disappearance was staged. Noah died because he had been given the wrong medicine. Alistair in order to protect Joanna has concocted a story. A high risk move.

Joanna is weak, but Alistair is making sure she sticks with their manufactured story to the police and the media. Even though some in the social media are disbelieving.

In this episode we are seeing a very manipulative side of Alistair, in his behaviour towards Joanna and his ex-wife.

There is too much padding, the plot plods on with too much talking but it does end with another twist.

We know that there is a timeline where Joanna stands trial but we assumed it was relating the death of baby Noah.

The series has another trick up its sleeve to keep the viewer hooked for the next episode.
