Did You Know?

When the kids raise the Cerebro radio tower for the first time, on the top of Weathertop, the shot closely resembles the famous picture of the US Marines raising the American flag at Iwo Jima. See more »

During Eleven's prank on Dustin, she is controlling his toys with her mind, including a Transformers figure for the character "Ultra Magnus". However, seeing as how Ultra Magnus made his debut in The Transformers: The Movie, this is too early for the figure to exist, as this season takes place for year before. See more »

I wonder if..

I wonder if Nancy, that pretty young woman, will show up those mean, old, sexist men at the news paper, by finding a groundbreaking story that implies that women are smarter than men... becasuse femnism! Yeah! Hmmm....

I wonder if Russia, all that's portrayed as evil in the real world, and in this fantasy world, will be the cause of this shows woes. Hmmm....

I wonder if Steve will fall in love with the seemingly dumb, yet surprisingly smart icecream chick who's far too hot to work at a place like that, almost like she was placed there to become his new love interest. Hmmm...

I can see the rampant political correctness overtaking this show like it has wolike th almost everything else being peddles out of Hollywood lately.

One of my biggest peeves with this season is the love crap. It's overtaking the sci-fi and it's really lame. It's not what the show has been about and it's not what the show should be about, it's sci-fi.. not romance. Stick with the genre you intended it to be. A little romance is fine, even expected. But this is rediculous. El, all of a sudden is just a normal girl, who just wants to make out and listen to music, talk about boys and pout around, she's not the badass who comes from another dimension anymore.. she adapted fast.. preposterously fast. I feel they did that so they could push the love angle. It's become about feelings, and again, the sci-fi is sacrificed.. It's jarring and stupid. It seems to be about strong independent women, who don't need no man. Mmmhmmm.

Too many inconsistencies. It's ussualy when a show begins to jumps the shark.

It's often funny, And the humor can be excellent, but then they ruin it by going overboard and you begin to cringe.

Also, how is it that in the 80s, no one smokes aside from the cop (Who's so cool that his one "flaw" is excused) I wonder if it's because accuracy is sacrificed in order to not offend people and stay on the side of popular public opinion, regardless of facts. Hmmm....

Stranger things 3 seems to be becoming about the rise of unrealistic, rampant political correctness that didn't exist in the 80s, but sure as heck exists now, and it's choking everything from art, to politics, to education.

I could have written this crap in my sleep. I expected better.. much better. Everything in this season is over done. It handicaps the bits they get right. They go too far with the comedy, The love, even often with the action. The one thing they don't focus on enogh is the thing that is needed the most, a balanced script.

6.5/10 stars.
