During the flashback where Gladstone apprehended a Beagle Boy (Burger), Donald is wearing his black sailor suit even though he's suppose to be wearing his blue one, though it's possible that this flashback occurred around the time he was still adventuring with Scrooge. See more »

Another character!
14 October 2017 | by ericstevensonSee all my reviews

Dang, does this show have a good track record. I knew they'd be introducing a new character from the old show in every episode. This time it's Gladstone Gander whom most fans remember. He was known for being the luckiest duck in the world. It does kind of make you wonder. If he's the luckiest, why isn't he the richest like Scrooge? Actually, they do in fact kind of address that. The villain wants Scrooge believing he would be even luckier. I said that one improvement over the original series was that Donald Duck was featured more. While that's a plus, I admit his voice can get annoying.

Well, it was more annoying than usual here. My only complaint about this episode is that Launchpad talks about meeting up with an old girlfriend. Something cool definitely happens but we unfortunately never get to see it. I don't know if the villain in this episode was from the comics. He certainly seems like a new one. I don't recall a frog being a villain. Some of the plot doesn't make a lot of sense but it actually does at the end. It just shows you how smart this show is. ***1/2
