This movie NAILED IT. I got to see it premiering at the deadCenter film festival, and was treated to a Q&A afterwards where I heard from director Riley Stearns, and found out how the film got to be so great. HIM! The Art of Self Defense goes from hilarious to action-packed to painfully dramatic in the perfect style. You never know where the story will go next. Jesse Eisenberg was beyond impressive. His character was a bullseye, as was Alessandro Nivola and Imogen Poots. Best independent ensemble of the DECADE. The writing is genius. An incredible experience. Watch the movie, it's for your own good.
