Making its debut on Saturday Night Live, "Black Skinhead" (stylized as BLKKK SKKKNHEAD in reference to the Ku Klux Klan) is a dark, rebellious and near-tribal record that threads between both Kanye West's traditional braggadocio and anti-establishment, anti-racism themes.Written by

A more industrial, experimental, and flat out dark track from iconic, influential, acclaimed, world famous hip hop artist Kanye West, 'Black Skinhead' is a masterpiece of music in my opinion, and probably my favourite track off of his brilliant 'Yeezus' album. The track is paired with this compelling music video; while somewhat flawed and not always consistently visually interesting, it makes a great match for the pitch black song that powerfully roars behind it. The poor computer animation style utilized for many of the visuals is both a blessing and a curse. For one, it does help add to the general uneasiness and avant garde flavour the video is setting out to provide, but it's also a little unintentionally silly to an extent. The rest of the visual elements, the black background in the shape of three Klansman, the dark barking dogs, etc., are perfect for the moans and rapidfire lyrics of this incredible track.
