By some peculiar coincidence, this is the third theatrically released animated film in under a year to be centered on Yeti or their distant cousin, Bigfoot. The other two are Warner Animation Group's , Smallfoot (2018) and Laika's Missing Link (2019), the prior of which also released in 2019 and the former of which involves yetis.

Universal's 2nd theatrically released animated film not from Illumination to be Rated PG by the MPAA, after fellow DreamWorks Animation film How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019), both films having the same MPAA Rating as all other DreamWorks Animation films but Chicken Run (2000), Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002), and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005), which were the only DreamWorks Animation films rated G by the MPAA instead of PG.
