If you're familiar with the wonder 1973 film THE WICKER MAN then you already know that one of the most unforgettable things was its score. Associate music director Gary Carpenter is interviewed about the process in creating the music score and how the film's low-budget probably helped make the film more effective since they didn't have the money to hire a large band. We're told how students were basically hired to do the score and we learn about the various ideas that went into it. We also hear from Johnny Truck who discusses the score's original release and why it was so rare. If you're a fan of the score then you'll enjoy this sixteen minute featurette, which actually covers quite a few topics. It certainly helps highlight what made the score so effective.
