Keeping America Safe
27 March 2017 | by 851222See all my reviews

Greetings from Lithuania.

So more and more the dots are coming together in 6th season of "Homeland" after episode 10. The story of whole season at this moment is kinda epic if you ask me and although there isn't as much straightforward "action" in this season as it was in some cases with previous seasons, the story of what is really going on is so big in its scale that it is the driving force of season 6.

This episode was intense, smart, superbly written (as usual) where you kinda have to read between the lines of what characters say and think - especially by Mr. Dar Adal who is like a total bad ass in this season, and i kinda think now that this could be the last season we are seeing him - can he walk out clean with what he is doing? But on the other hand, he is keeping America safe - he is not a villain and if the measures have to be made to keep it safe, no measures can be matched i think. And to finalize - in season 6 F. Murray Abraham arguably delivered one of the best performances of his carrier (and we are talking about Oscar winner here) - his performance is so nuanced - the way Dar Adal reads the situation momentarily and "switches" from safe mode to a caution mode instantly like it was in 9th episode in a scene with Keane is fascinating - couldn't take my eyes of him on screen - powerhouse acting.

Overall, with only 2 episode left in season 6 i'm pretty sure we are going to see same qualities as always - terrific writing of involving and kinda provocative story, superb acting and the story which will end in intense and plausible way. Can't wait to see them.
