Because I've enjoyed and been enlightened by several of Jacky St. James' popular porn features over the past 4 years ("Torn" especially), I continue to sample her more recent but decidedly inferior product. This special "blindfolded" edition of her endless Hotwifing series is particularly bad, an example of how her writing has deteriorated.
Each of the required four separate sex vignettes is narrated by either a husband or wife, delineating to the viewer how they came upon the joys of hotwifing (a swingers' term in which instead of swapping, just the wife is pimped out to another man of the husband's choosing for some vicarious undefined thrill to him, no cash changing hands). This means 12 actors in the piece, all of them familiar porn veterans, and the sex taken generically is fitfully arousing.
But the malarkey spoken in dialog scenes and especially the narration is offensive to anyone's intelligence. It is essentially a repetitive defense (even more boring since Jacky has trotted it out, alongside her cameramen/directors Eddie Powell & Paul Woodcrest who make similar features in her wake, over & over & over again) of the "loanout" of one's loved one practice, and more damningly an attempt to defend the notion that this is some trend or craze out there. I prefer to hold that it is a figment of JSJ's imagination, and not a very imaginative figment at that. I rank it somewhere below the fetish videos devoted to sniffing freshly baked cupcakes (yes, dear reader, such crap exists for sale out there in our Brave New World of niches to suit any and everyone) and above the Smoking videos, where good old nicotine addiction is treated as kinky merely because the Surgeon General wisely frowned on it.
To sit through this junk, I was thrilled (relatively speaking) by Jacky's initial segment which makes great use of my own oddball fetish -watching porn shot at the fabulous "Immoral Proposal" mansion, where Nica Noelle set her feature of that name. Its distinctive spiral staircase set against a white on white background is the star of this lengthy vignette. Dana DeArmond is handcuffed to the railing of that iconic staircase and blindfolded by her controlling husband Dominik Kross (a particularly loathsome performer who supposedly makes a living in these non-sex roles, usually in the dreaded Cuckold genre).
Xander Corvus, in the least rewarding role I've ever seen him take, is the stud brought in to service Dana, as Dominik tells them what to do. Of course kinky Dana is hot and impressive as always, even deep throating the formidable Corvus cock through the railing of the staircase, but the whole episode is idiotic. Essentially it is the obverse of those popular exercises in humiliation perpetrated by Sean Michaels and Glenn King, where Dominik is a wimpy, mincing victim (but he loves it!) as some Big Black Man humps his wife, and both wifey & stud make fun of him. Here he's in control but the sex is the same.
Punchline is that in the BTS short subject Dana relates an anecdote of being picked up by a couple and having sex with them, more in the swinger mode than hotwifing, and she compares that real-life incident to the "Indecent Proprosal" film (Redford approaching Woody & Demi). How delightful for me -the coincidence that I'd just seen her in the "Immoral Proposal" mansion, from the movie inspired by that mainstream Adrian Lyne camp classic.
Other segments are groaners in which Jacky for some odd (or lazy?) reason is not content with running the hotwifing motif into the ground but has all three husbands (Jay Smooth, Ryan McLane and Logan Pierce) use a necktie as a blindfold -not an old school tie but still carrying some resonance I couldn't quite put my finger on. Brooklyn Chase wins breast in show hands-down in her finale, with Erik Everhard silently doing the deed to Logan's apparent satisfaction. In some segments the husband sticks around for a quasi-threesome, while in others he's absent.
Jacky appears clueless as to what her campaigning for hotwifing has wrought, though it seems to be merely a footnote to swinging or vaguely related to the even more dubious "trend" of late: polyamory. My conclusion after watching umpteen of these videos is more basic: the internet has finally reduced pornography to a mere commodity, and those few souls still working in the field with some vain hope of self-realization will try anything to somehow differentiate their product, and find a "niche". Hence such ridiculous genres like the Squirting videos or the endless stream of Bondage/Fetish programs.
