Storyline

Matt's tacky game show 'The Box' is a ratings hit but also a poisoned chalice as it prevents him from returning to the acting work he loves. Beverly and Sean are equally unhappy at having to work with the fatuous, slave-driving Tim whilst Beverly is shocked to find that Carol has shut herself in her house now that she is jobless. Matt finds some diversion by having sex with Danika from 'The Box' but unfortunately Merc Lapidus finds out and takes full advantage of the situation.

In the "previously on the Box" clip, one of the contestants develops hay sneeze from bales of hay. Actually, hay sneeze is an allergic reaction to pollen produced by flowering parts of living grass, whereas hay is a grass dead, dried and sometimes compacted. There should be no pollen in such hay as presented in the clip, unless the pollen was artificially added for the effect.

Some people suffer from dust allergies as well as pollen allergies. Hay, being a dead grass, contains a large amount of dust. It fills the air and irritates the nose. Enough to make anyone who suffers from such an allergy to have a strong reaction being enclosed with it in a confined space.

Episode 5.1

Episodes returns for its final series. It carries on in its cynical amusing way

The first episode sees Matt hosting a game show, a strange reality show called The Box where contestants make other suffer such as Gilbert Gottfried going full throttle to a poor unfortunate soul for hours.

The show is a hit but Matt is not getting offers for acting work, now he is a game show celebrity. Matt and Lapidus are still rubbing each other the wrong way but Lapidus may have the upper hand as Matt rubs a pretty contestant up the wrong way.

Beverly and Sean are suffering in other ways. They have had creative control of their hit show wrested away from them, now having to put up with Sean's former writing partner Tim now put in charge. Tim makes everyone work long hours and cannot recognise a funny joke if it came up and chatted to him for 20 minutes.

In Hollywood you persevere through the muck. Beverly and Sean are doing just that.
