R.E.M.: Losing My Religion (1991 Video)
- Summaries (2)
A series of vignettes from different historical periods and some flights of imagination inter-cut with the band REM performing one of their greatest songs in a small room. The clip for "Losing My Religion" takes an artistic approach gathering elements from Tarkovsky, Caravaggio and Gabriel García Marquez to make his full composition about life, unrequited love, faith, obsession and many other topics.
R.E.M. performs in the music video "Losing My Religion" from the album "Out of Time" recorded for Warner Brothers Records. Michael Stipe sings while the band sits in a dark wood floored room. Video clips evoke images from classical paintings and religious imagery from Christianity and Hinduism.
