According to the DVD extra, Executive Producer Hank Steinberg stated that the 12 'o clock reports, where the orderly asks the Captain's permission on behalf of the Officer of the Deck " to strike eight bells on time", was implemented to keep mutiny in check. Goofs

When Dr. Rachel Scott is in the lab working on the cure she has a flashback to her childhood in Africa after her mother's funeral service. She is seen sitting on a bed speaking to a nurse. In the first shot, the camera is showing the right side of Rachel's face and her hair can be seen hanging down on the left side of her face. The camera then pans out and to the left side of Rachel's face and her hair is seen pushed behind her ear. The camera then returns to the right side of Rachel's face and her hair is once again seen hanging down on the left side of her face. See more »
