Michael is now trying to run his solicitor's business from Stella's chaotic, overcrowded house as Katie lives with them and Zoe and Luke cannot find cheap accommodation. When his house sale fails though he has the perfect solution, knocking down the dividing wall to create one big home. Stella and Celia go their nursing placements, under the fearsome Cheryl and the aloof consultant Mr Honey, in whose presence Stella makes a huge mistake though she later impresses him and he helps her out of an awkward situation. Alan and Little Alan open their café - an ultimate success thanks to Little Alan's ability to improvise after his father has mistaken bath salts for rock salt and despite a faulty burglar alarm. Aunty Brenda advertises for a lodger, who turns out , to Stella's dismay, to be Cheryl whilst Dai Davies announces that he has won a million on his premium bonds.
Stella and Michael are as happy as ever. Stella's house is full just as she likes it and Michael has decided to base his solicitors firm there. As if her house couldn't get any busier? Meanwhile in Pontyberry, Little Alan and Big Alan open their cafe. Opening night is looming and Little Alan can't wait to open their cafe to the rest of the village. Even Celia is kept busy as she starts nursing training along side Stella. However Auntie Brenda is not too happy with Dai who has disappeared.
