Thirty-five minute interview with Paul Williams about his song-writing and acting in Brian DePalma's PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE. This long interview can be found on the Shout Factory! Blu-ray release of the picture, which contains hours worth of extras. This interview has Williams being extremely talkative as he discusses how he got involved in the picture, how he came up with the songs and what exactly he was wanting to get out of them. He talks about the various influences that he had and he also talks about having to change things as they went along. Fans of Williams or the film are really going to enjoy this interview because there are so many great stories told about the production. Williams is obviously very happy with his work so he openly talks about what the songs meant to him and he even talks about what would have happened had the songs been done by more famous acts.
