Tribes of the Moon: The Making of Nightbreed (2014)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Highly entertaining documentary about the making of Clive Barker's NIGHTBREED and the various troubles it had once it was completed. Craig Sheffer, Christine McCorkindale, Doug Bradley, Anne Bobby and Simon Bamford are just a few of the names that are here being interviewed as they discuss the movie, their characters as well as the various things that happened during the production. It's really too bad that Barker himself isn't here to discuss things but there are a few comments from him via old interviews. With all of that said, if you're a fan of the film then you'll enjoy hearing all of the behind-the-scenes stories. There are some great discussions about the original screenplay as well as the cast sharing their thoughts on Barker's direction as well as the various special effects used in the picture. We also get to see clips from The Cabal cut of the picture and we hear a bit about the studio's tampering of the original version.
