more twists and turns than a roller coaster

Cinema quality.

Minimal action but the suspense is gripping.

Possibly the best integration of the short and long arcs I have ever seen -- the Blacklist subject for the show is also the individual who has been persecuting Red. Or is he? Continues the theme of fathers and daughters, one which has become unique to the series. (In GRIMM, the theme seems to be pregnancy, in BANSHEE is false identity, in POI it moral values, etc).

No false notes. Spader does not do a Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. Boone completely sells her internal conflict in dealing with her former husband.

And Alan Alda as always is brilliant.
