Quotes

Ty Walker: Well I am relieved to hear that nothing of value was stolen. Any notion of a suspect?
Tim Gutterson: Do you have any notion of how an investigation works?
Ty Walker: Only what I done seen on the TV.
Tim Gutterson: Does it rock your world that I told you we don't discuss open cases with every Joe Dipshit we meet on the street?

Things are developing nicely

Oh, now we're talking' . . .

One of the reasons 'Cash Game' is fun is the addition of new characters, chief among them Sam Elliott. But also Garret Dillahunt, leading a group of mercenaries in a Harlan land grab. Raylan and Tim maintain their witty repartee from last episode, but this is consistently entertaining even in their absence because of the new faces in the criminal department. The guest stars are characteristically top-shelf.

The other reason is that this really feels like it's laying the groundwork for something special. Plot-building that's steady and workmanlike. And that alone is fun in the classic "Justified" sense.
