When arguing with Angie, Ice Cube says the F-word once. When he pushes everything off of his barber table, he says "Damn", but he is mouthing the F-word again. This second F-word was dubbed over to obtain a PG-13 rating.
Michael Ealy was offered to reprise his role, in an interview with pelap Ice Cube was asked why Ealy didnt return. Cube responded by saying they sent him the script and he was interested until he read the script and was displeased with new direction they were taking the film and was disgusted by the dialogue and additional characters. He stated that this is not the Barbershop he knows and it tarnishes the image and meaning of the original two films, Common was casted and they scrapped off Ealy's character and did some re-writes.
Ice Cube, Cedric The Entertainer, Eve, Sean Patrick Thomas, Anthony Anderson, Troy Garity, Jazsmin Lewis are the only recurring cast members of the Barbershop series. Deon Cole also appears in the first 2 barbershop movies. The first as customer Darrel the customer threatened with "both baby daddys" by the irate woman. The 2nd as customer Dante.
In the scene where Raja is filming a promotional video for the Barbershop there is an unknown twerking woman in the background. This is Nicki Minaj, despite what she and her then boyfriend, Meek Mill, said on twitter. Also the color of her pants were digitally changed from white to blue so the audience would not know it was Ms Minaj.
