The One with Baby Astrid
26 July 2014 | by Alex_HodgkinsonSee all my reviews

The Flightmare, a dragon so terrifying that it managed to freeze Astrid's 'fearless' uncle in fright, flies to Berk every ten years and terrorises the town, and it's due to return. Astrid wants to restore her family's honour and bring down the Flightmare for Berk, whereas Hiccup wants to find out all he can about the dragon before heading back to Berk. When Fishlegs finds put more about the Flightmare, he tells Hiccup its route to Berk, with Astrid listening nearby. Astrid and Hiccup then set off to meet the dragon on it's way to Berk, and find out a great deal more about it.

As far as I know, this is the first Astrid-centric episode. It's great that we finally get an episode focusing on her and we learn more about her. We even got to see a five year old Astrid. Still hardly anything on Stormfly, though, which is disappointing. I want to know more about Stormfly. The story of the episode is fairly good, with a nice new dragon to check out, the Flightmare. The best thing about the episode is definitely learning more about Astrid, though.
