Linda is on a diet and is driving everyone crazy. There is a rumor that a girl at their school like-likes Gene. Tina and Louise panic when they realize it must be ultra-obnoxious, annoying Courtney, but Gene is peer-pressed to be her boyfriend. He meets Courtney's dad, a commercial jingle writer with cool tech; and Gene has found a man-crush. When Gene shuts his eyes and covers his ears, Gene feels like he maybe could spend the rest of his life with Courtney... until Gene opens his mouth. Courtney and Gene both suffer heartbreak, but for completely different reasons. Written by LA-Lawyer

Uncomfortable A-Plot and Boring B-Plot
28 January 2020 | by landrumzacharySee all my reviews

This episode is just uncomfortable to watch because of the one off character they added in this episode, Courtney. I know her main character trait is that she is obnoxious, which the writers did get that point across in very vivid detail, but it kind of fails because the audience ends up more annoyed than the characters in the show. It should be the other way around to make the comedy surrounding the awkward relationship work. The side plot with Linda isn't really all that interesting, but this episode does still have a few laughs. Overall, not a terrible episode. Just boring and uncomfortable. It would probably only be #10 in my Top 10 Worst Bob's Burgers Episodes list.
