Volando Bajo (2014)

Chuyin Venegas and Cornelio Barraza were the greatest stars of popular music and cinema in the 80's and 90's. After decades of success as "Los Jilgueros de Rosarito", they went their separate ways; but their story was far from over.

Trivia

The role of the fictional legendary film producer Bruno Sánchez Félix was conceived from the beginning to be played by some bigger-than-life actor or iconic figure of the film industry. An invitation was extended to legendary real-life producer Guillermo Calderón (I), uncle of Volando bajo's editor Viviana García-Besné, but it was not possible for him due to age concerns. Instead, he gave permission to use footage of his produced-by film La venganza de la llorona (1974) in an important childhood scene of Volando bajo. And the role of Bruno Sánchez Félix ended being incarnated by another real-life legend, Javier López (I) better known for many generations as "Chabelo". See more »

Don't watch this crap
1 July 2015 | by DhariaLezinSee all my reviews

Horrible acting, horrible costumes that actually look like Halloween costumes instead of actual characters, horrible script, horrible direction (of course horrible direction, otherwise the movie would actually have something good). Full of clichés that actually offend instead of being funny, and old fashion jokes that instead of making you laugh, they make you feel uncomfortable. It is supposed to be comedy but ends up like a terrible done farce that each second becomes more annoying, the camera is boring and the script is so boring and surrealistic that you cannot actually believe that someone produced that... thing. No wonder Mexican Cinema has so bad fame all over the globe if this is exporting material.
