Trivia

As BB-8 flees the massacre of the Jakku village near the beginning of the film, a very obvious puppet alien pops its head out of the sand to look at him. According to J.J. Abrams, everyone knew how bad it looked, but decided to keep it in anyway, because they thought it was cute. The puppet alien also says "ko ji ma" as a reference to video game Director Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid video game series. See more »

Goofs

When the falcon is caught in the tractor beam, in the shot after Finn says "it's the First Order," the shot cuts to Rey saying "What do we do? There must be something." There is a strand of hair on the right side of her head, and as the shot ends, the tip of the strand is pointing away downwards. In the next shot, the tip of the strand is suddenly curled up and closer to her neck. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Lor San Tekka: This will begin to make things right. I've traveled too far and seen too much to ignore the despair in the galaxy. Without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force.
Poe Dameron: Well, because of you, now we have a chance. The General's been after this for a long time.
Lor San Tekka: Oh, the General? To me, she is royalty.
Poe Dameron: Well, she certainly is that.

A Rerun With A Continuity Gap
2 December 2018 | by jen-follerSee all my reviews

I am not the world's biggest Star Wars fan, but I have watched the old episode 6 (and the 2 before it). Star Wars: The Force Awakens is number 7, but in number 6 Leia, Luke and her resistance rebels were victorious. In this film they are again rebels and just have one base again and so forth. What is going on here? The scenes are borrowed, but the acting is inferior also. I am writing this and becoming confused. What happened?
