New Dragon
21 July 2014 | by Alex_HodgkinsonSee all my reviews

Choosing a rating for this episode was hard, but I ended up agreeing with the average rating. This episode left me conflicted, as it had the generic misunderstood pet and new unwelcome pet cartoon plot line, yet it also introduced a whole new dragon and showed us briefly what home life is like for Hiccup, his dad and Toothless. It's certainly above average, as I'd expected from this show, but whether or not to put it at a six or a seven was a hard choice.

This episode has a nice change from the norm, with it not focusing on the dragons moving in and instead focusing on a new dragon and Hiccup and Toothless's relationship. The plot line is rather thin and adds nothing to the overall series, but the animation is great and the new dragon is beautiful. If you're a fan of dragon behaviour and the different species of dragon, this episode is great.
