Michael J. Fox Gets Emmys Standing Ovation

Michael J. Fox Gets Emmys Standing Ovation
Michael J. Fox made his presence felt at "The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards," in a big way, and it was completely unscripted and spontaneous. The 51-year-old actor, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 and recently inked a deal to return to network television in his own series, was on hand to present the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

It's not usually a situation that warrants a standing ovation, but despite what Jimmy Kimmel said in his introduction, everybody loves Michael J. Fox. He's been a true inspiration throughout his battle with Parkinson's disease, and his return to television is a testament to both his dedication to acting, and his successful management of the disease.

"Steady as a rock," Fox quipped, as everyone in the theater rose to their feet. And then, it was business as usual. Fox closed out the evening, giving "Modern Family" its fourth Emmy on the night.
