‘Power’ Picks Ex-‘106 & Park’ Host Terrence J To Front After Show For Top Starz Drama’s Final Season

  • Deadline
Exclusive: Starz is going straight to 106 & Park for the host of its Power after show.

Terrence J hosted the NYC-set and now canceled Bet video show for a strong run between 2006 and 2012. Now the Are You the One? front man will be hosting Power Confidential, I’ve learned.

The once E! News co-anchor will debut in his new gig on August 25, right after the debut of the sixth and final season of the Courtney Kemp-created drama.

First announced at the summer TCA earlier this month, Power Confidential is the Lionsgate-owned premium cabler’s first official after show. Like the long running Talking Dead has with The Walking Dead on AMC, the Terrence J (Aka Terrence Jenkins) hosted series will air right after Power for every episode of its two-part and supersized last season.

Similar to other after shows, the aim behind Power Confidential is to unpack that week’s airing of the Omari Hardwick,

Jeffrey Dean Morgan on Negan’s story in ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10: ‘He’s going to surprise you’ with ‘downright awful things’
When last we saw bad boy Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the Season 9 finale of “The Walking Dead,” he had a chance to escape his imprisonment at Alexandria but opted instead to save young Judith (Cailey Fleming). Morgan now confirms that fans will be seeing more of Negan in Season 10, which premieres October 6 on AMC. “He’s going to surprise you in ways that you’re not gonna be ready for as an audience, whether that be good things or downright awful things,” Morgan teased in an interview during Sunday’s “Talking Dead” preview special. “That’s the beauty of him. You don’t know what you’re gonna get. That’s why I’m still here in Season 10 as an actor, because how lucky am I?”

Following the zombie drama’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, AMC released a teaser for the first of three upcoming Rick-centric movies, which will be produced by Twd creator Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures.

“It’s not the beginning of the end, it’s the end of the beginning,” Andrew Lincoln said of Rick’s exit during a pre-taped interview on Talking Dead in Feb. 2018. “And I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista.

First Trailer For The Walking Dead Movie Teases Rick’s Return

True to the old saying, just as one door closes for Rick Grimes, another one now opens. And this time, it’ll mark the start of what’s said to be a much “bigger story.” At least, that’s according to Andrew Lincoln.

The former Walking Dead star spoke to Yvette Nicole Brown last year during a Talking Dead special (h/t ComicBook.com), and teased what’s in store for us in regards to AMC’s planned movie trilogy, which will revolve around the fan favorite character and also explore the wider Walking Dead universe, now that Rick’s been airlifted away from the group and thrust into a whole new and potentially more dangerous situation.

“I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista,” Lincoln said. “And I’ve always been interested in what’s going on out there,

Aziz Ansari, Chris Hardwick’s Reemergence Complicate the #MeToo Conversation
Aziz Ansari’s new Netflix stand-up special “Right Now” marks the comedian’s return to the spotlight more than a year after being publicly accused of sexual impropriety, an allegation that has proved to be divisive, fueling discussions about what is considered consent and what constitutes sexual assault. His isn’t the only redemptive arc forming at the moment; Nerdist founder Chris Hardwick is returning to San Diego Comic-Con this week as a panel moderator for AMC’s “The Walking Dead” franchise after stepping down last year in the wake of an ex-girlfriend’s abuse allegations.

Amid a heated, ongoing public dialogue about sexual misconduct — one that involves a news cycle flooded with headlines about powerful men like R. Kelly, Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein being brought to task for alleged egregious sex- abuse offenses — some entertainers accused in the #MeToo era have reestablished their careers, having maintained bonds with

Ahead of AMC's The Walking Dead's Hall H panel later this week at Comic-Con, the first photo from the upcoming tenth season has been revealed by Entertainment Weekly.

The new photo (see below) features Michonne slashing walkers with her trusty katana against the backdrop of a forest on fire, and when you can't exactly call the fire department in the living dead apocalypse, a blaze like the one in the photo could lead to utter devastation if it goes unchecked.

Here's what The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang told EW about the fire in the photo:

“One of the things that we have going on this season is, we’re continuing some explorations of natural elements and how they play into our world. And fire is one of those elements that comes into play in a few key ways that twist the story in a way that will be pretty exciting.

‘Walking Dead’ Dead: Robert Kirkman Ends Comic Abruptly With Issue 193

‘Walking Dead’ Dead: Robert Kirkman Ends Comic Abruptly With Issue 193
The Walking Dead” comic book, the source of one of the most successful franchises in television history, has come to an abrupt end: Creator Robert Kirkman made it clear at the end of issue #193 that he is ending the series after 16 years with no warning.

The comics provided the basis and inspiration for AMC’s long-running TV show of the same name, which is currently in its ninth season and has spawned two other shows. The end of the comic book raises questions about the future of the show, although the AMC drama has never followed the comic book precisely, and has rather offered its own takes on familiar characters and storylines.

“This is the end of The Walking Dead. That’s it… it’s over… we’re done,” Kirkman wrote in the final pages of the comic, which will be released Wednesday.

‘Fear the Walking Dead’ bosses tease the mysterious symbol found on walker soldier and Rick’s helicopter
At the end of Sunday’s Season 5 premiere of “Fear the Walking Dead,” eagle-eyed viewers recognized a strange symbol of three interlocking circles that Althea (Maggie Grace) found on the uniform of a walker soldier. It’s the same symbol that was briefly seen on the helicopter that seemingly kidnapped Rick (Andrew Lincoln) during his final episode of “The Walking Dead” back in November. So what does it all mean?

Fear” showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg were notoriously tight-lipped about the symbol when they appeared on “Talking Dead” with Chris Hardwick, but they did manage to tease a little something about the soldiers. “They may remain mysterious for a little while,” stated Chambliss, “but we can say they’re definitely not robots despite the wires sticking out of the uniforms. Maybe cyborgs, I don’t know. We will learn a lot more about that symbol and the soldier, and
