In their 16th annual special, Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert choose who would win the Academy Awards if they were the ones making the decisions. For Best Actor, Siskel chooses Peter Fonda for Ulee's Gold (1997). Ebert picks Robert Duvall for The Apostle (1997). For Best Supporting Actress, Ebert chooses Julianne Moore for Boogie Nights (1997). Siskel picks Joan Cusack for In & Out (1997). Best Supporting Actor: Siskel's choice is Anthony Hopkins for Amistad (1997); Ebert's is Robert Forster in Jackie Brown (1997).
