Germanesque techno hit for Lady Gaga, utilizing her name as a Teutonic chant, in which she is abducted from a surreal bath-house by costumed otherworldly supermodels, and auctioned off into slavery, before getting a fiery revenge.
The video begins with the singer laying across the desert floor from the ending of "Perfect Illusion" during sunset, as black SUVs approach her from afar. Gaga's crew comes out of the SUVs ... See full summary »
Local girl makes good. In February, 2011, Lady Gaga (1986- ) brings a band and dancers to Madison Square Garden, about 20 blocks from where she grew up. She sings, plays keyboards, dances, and talks - sometimes autobiographically - emphasizing possibilities, personal acceptance, and tolerance on the way to the Monster Ball, the greatest party in the world. The cameras catch her up close, in ensemble, and beneath the stage changing between numbers. She calls her fans "freaks" and "little monsters," while songs urge them to show their paws and teeth. "Fame" and "Behind the Fame Monster" provide most of the songs. Behind the credits, she and three others sing "Born This Way" a cappella.Written by
The show was filmed in the last concert of Gaga's season at the Madison Square Garden. See more »
Tonight, I want you to forget all your insecurities. I want you to reject anyone or anything that's ever made you feel like you don't belong or don't fit in or made you fell like you're not good enough or pretty enough or thin enough or cant sing well enough or dance well enough or write a song well enough or like you'll never win a Grammy or you'll never sell out Madison Square Garden, you just remember that you're a goddamn superstar and you were born this way!

I just saw the show on HBO and wow...boy did people get their money's worth! Her performance was excellent, funny and poignant (especially that bit about whether or not she sings live). My favourite moment was when she performed "Speecheless", "You And I" and "Born This Way".
Last year I was lucky enough to see Lady Gaga in concert and was most impressed with her. She went beyond what I expected and more than delivered, with a thrilling, engaging and highly enjoyable show! This HBO special was even better, a grand spectacle in line with Gaga's crazy universe, unmistakable talent, her sensuality and sexuality as well as vision and artistry!
