Many of the songs in the soundtrack were supplied by Grammy winning recording engineer Randy Caballero and Podunk founder Paul Soroski through his label RockArmy Records including songs from a Podunk side project called "Create A Monster", Pushmonkey's founder Tony Park's new band Three33, Joseph King, Ari Neufeld, Dug Pinnick and Podunk. Other contributions to the soundtrack include that of Davis St. Romain, and the band Whitman.
Executive Producer Leland Freeman cast WWE legend Kevin Nash shortly before his recent prominence in WWE storylines.
James Hampton of F-Troop and Teenwolf fame, has a scene opposite his real life wife, Mary Deese.
Filmed in 18 days with the Red One Camera along with Red Prime lens and edited in 12 days with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 which is able to edit the 4K R3D files natively.

The book store scene was filmed at an actual shop, Brave New Books, in Austin Texas. Executive Producer Leland Freeman had been friends with the owners for years and was able to coordinate an event with NY Times Best Selling Author Jim Marrs the night before the scene was shot along with having a cameo by Jim in the movie.
Eloise DeJoria, wife of John Paul Mitchell Systems co-founder, John Paul DeJoria had a cameo in the movie. Much of the makeup artists were supplied by the Paul Mitchell Academy.
