Chuck Berry: Live at the Roxy with Tina Turner (1982)

*** (out of 4)

This Chuck Berry performance was recorded at the Roxy in Los Angeles on January 1, 1982. The setlist is as follows:

Roll Over Beethoven / School Days / Sweet Little Sixteen / Nadine / Promised Land / Memphis Tennessee / Johnny B. Goode / Brown Eyed Hansome Man / Carol / Little Queenie / Rock and Roll Music / Reelin' and Rockin'

If you're a fan of Berry then you'll certainly want to check out this live performance, which is complete except for two missing songs. I'm not sure why those two songs were removed from the running time but i'm going to guess it was done to keep the program right at a hour. Either way this is a very entertaining show with Berry doing all of his classic songs as well as those dance moves that he is known for. His wife appears with him on the final track and Tina Turner joins him on Rock and Roll Music.
