Goofs

Even though Charlotte doesn't want to report the rape, Addison mentions that she has a duty to conduct a rape exam. This is incorrect. Sexual assault survivors retain the option to consent to their medical care, and doctors are not obligated to conduct rape exams without their consent. Many states also allow sexual assault survivors to have a rape exam without reporting the rape, in case they change their minds and want to file a police report later. See more »

Quotes

Dr. Charlotte King: [to Addison] You ever been violated? Anybody rape you lately?
Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery: I'm trying to help.
Dr. Charlotte King: All right. Let me tell you what it's like. You know those made-for-tv movies where some woman's always crouched down naked in a shower, holding her knees and sobbing, 'cause when she closes her eyes, she can still feel the guy's hands on her? Why you should watch this episode!
5 November 2010 | by blueryanSee all my reviews

Last night's episode is probably one of the best episodes on television this year. The writing and acting were just so believable. Kadee Strickland brought tears to my eyes. This episode is just incredible. Private practice is a show that is coming onto his own. I was never a big fan and I only watched it once in a while. After last night's episode, I will become a regular viewer. This show has so much humanity and reality. A situation is never just all or nothing, the writing is very subtle as both sides or many sides are presented simultaneously. There is not enough drama like Private Practice on television and that is regrettable. If you have been watching, keep watching! If not, you should start!
