Trivia

Charlie's phone number is 01-246-8071. This used to be the number for "Recipe of the Day", a recorded information service offered by the GPO, and was not a genuine London (01) number: district code 246 was not allocated. 01-246-80xx numbers were sometimes used as fictitious numbers in TV drama and films. Quotes

Laura Marshall: Well, what's behind it all? Can you tell me?
Roger Fane: Well, as far as we know, the story he told you had substantial elements of the truth in it. Kirby may have acquired certain... shall we say... knowledge.
Laura Marshall: What knowledge?
Roger Fane: We're not sure and we don't know what he intends to do with it if it is so. We need to find out what he's got, if anything, and what his intentions are.
Laura Marshall: Well, it all sounds terribly vague.
Roger Fane: Yes, well, we deal in shadows and whispers. Hard to verify. Truth or lie, whose purpose it ...

Bill Kirby is a dangerous man
3 August 2018 | by Sleepin_DragonSee all my reviews

The twists continue, it seems everyone is out to get Bill Kirby. Initially I'd thought that Kirby was the good guy, and that the bad guys were obviously out to get him, but perhaps that's not the case. Classified as a dangerous man, it seems Bill has many enemies in high places, even his old friend Charlie has conspired against him. The story has continued to offer intrigue and suspense, as a viewer I feel I've been pushed into a blind alley, that's exactly what I want from a thriller. Very well acted once again, the dynamic between Kirby and Laura has grown in interest, with the complexity of the relationship proving interesting. An intriguing cliffhanger which left me wondering who he was, and how Laura knew him. This was very good indeed. 8/10
