Jimmy arrives from Chicago under his new agreement with Nucky to retaliate against a rival gang element, the D'Alessio brothers from Philadelphia, who've been recruited by Luciano to further Rothstein's Atlantic City interests. He receives a chilly reception from Angela when he gets home, totally unaware that she's involved in a menage a trois with photographers Robert and Mary Dittrich. Gillian uses her access to Luciano to Jimmy's advantage, but Van Alden interrupts Jimmy's plans for Luciano's execution and arrests him for the woods murders with Billt Winslow as his star eyewitness. Despite these circumstances Nucky is confident that Jimmy's path to freedom does not lie with a good lawyer, but through other means. Madame Jeunet asks Margaret to intercede on her behalf with Nucky on the new protection rate she must pay, and the dying Commodore urges Nucky to drop the current mayor and brother Eli as sheriff and switch his support in the critical upcoming election.
Did You Know?
Mary Cassatt, whose work is compared to Angela's was an American painter and feminist, who spent most of her life in France. Her subject matter was portraits of women or mothers with their children. She found acceptance by the art establishment difficult but was embraced by the Impressionists, especially Degas, with whom she was very close. Unlike Angela's work, Cassatt did not paint nudes.
