User Reviews
Not being a great Hellboy fan I was never likely to be blown away by Hellboy 2's epilogue or prologue but I went in hopeful regardless.
This epilogue interestingly was meant to be filmed for real and added to the movie as a final scene to set up for Hellboy 3. Sadly due to them not having confirmation that the film would ever be made they chose not to film it.
Thankfully they animated it as a DVD extra so that we could see what could have been and a tease of what the creators had planned for the ill fated third movie.
Filmed in a comic book strip style there is very little that can be done in 4 minutes but they do a decent enough job. Both speech bubbled and voiced this is a passable little effort which is a must for fans of the franchise.
Despite not being a Hellboy fan I appreciate the effort that went into this and am more than a little saddened that fans never got their third film.
The Good:
Interesting enough
Makes up for the scene never being filmed
The Bad:
Underwhelming for non Hellboy fans
Things I Learnt From This Short:
Even in a world where movies still show Nazi's as bad guys do we have the real thing ever present
