Papi and Chloe are back! It's been nearly two years after our four legged friends escaped the mean streets and perils of Mexico. Now we find everyone's favorite talking chihuahuas living in luxurious Beverly Hills happily married to each other and starting their new lives together as a family. But when their humans are struggling to pay the house mortgage, Papi, Chloe, their puppies and their friends will stop at nothing to save their home and get in touch with their inner warriors. But their new adventure is blocked by a series of hazards, both humans and canines.
The family just got bigger.

After Papi tells the pups the story about the fearless Chihuahua warriors, Papi Jr jumps up on the flowerpot on the window, pretending that he was a warrior fighting a poisonous snake (which in actuality was a vine). The screws come loose, however, and both the flower pot and the puppy go crashing to the ground from the second floor. Delgado, the German Shepard police dog that Chloe met in the first movie, catches Papi Jr and puts the pup safely on the ground, but the pot can be heard smashing against the ground. However, in the wide shot afterwards, there is no sign of broke ceramic, and when it shows the other puppies looking out the window, the pot is back in place, with no sign of it ever breaking free.
