Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners - Paradox Spiral (2008) Poster

Trivia

Jôji Nakata is often considered the archetypal voice of the Type-Moon villain by Type-Moon fans and properly so. He has played the role of NRVNQSR Chaos in all renditions of Tsukihime, with the exception of the anime; he was Kirei Kotomine in Fate/stay night (2006), and the only member of the original Kara no Kyoukai drama CD cast to reprise his role as Souren Araya for the movie. Kinoko Nasu even quotes people from Ufotable as saying: "Jôji is best for Araya. Araya is best for Jôji."

One of the techniques used to create more realism in this film is the use of real images photographed and retouched with spot colors to be used as backgrounds. A clear example is in the alley, where the graffiti painted was real.

Cornelius Alba says that Touko became a sorceress by jealous towards her own sister. Touko Aozaki is the older sister of Aoko Aozaki, the magician who gives Shiki Tohno (Played by Ken'ichi Suzumura who plays Mikiya Kokutou in the Kara no Kyoukai film saga) his glasses at the beginning of Lunar Legend Tsukihime (2003). In the game version, Aoko indicates that she stole the glasses from her older sister. In later chapters of the Kara no Kyoukai novel, Touko indicated that Shiki Ryogi had become skilled enough with her Mystic Eyes that she didn't need her glasses anymore, hinting that the glasses that Aoko gave Shiki Tohno possibly belonged to Shiki Ryogi.

Shiki speaks about that the gift she received from her family (a katana) is a Kanesada sword. Mino Kanesada was a swordsmith who worked in the Bunmei period (ca. 1469 to 1570). Was considered a very important smith. The average length of their blades (Nagasa) was 71.75cm (28.25 inches)
