The team on Atlantis prepares for the worst when they track a Wraith hive ship headed their way. They're surprised to find the Wraith crew in stasis and a message from Todd telling them that Dr. Keller's retrovirus has had an unexpected side effect on them. To protect themselves, they've all entered stasis and returned to Atlantis hoping to get help. Some on the team think they should just leave them in stasis and be done with them but a malfunction on the hive ship releases the remaining crew who have been cannibalizing one another for food. Did You Know?

When the Wraith Hive ship breaks in half, the "front" portion of the ship falls "down" toward the planet. If the ship is circling the planet in orbit then there's no way that the ship would have fallen immediately. In fact, it would likely have completed at least half an orbit or so before its orbit began to decay. The "rear" of the ship should collided with the former "front" because the front would lose a measure of its orbital speed. See more »

Dr. Jennifer Keller: The disease is in the ship?
Todd the Wraith: It is the only explanation that makes sense.
Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: All right, if you say so.
Dr. Jennifer Keller: How is that even possible?
Todd the Wraith: During the process of hibernation, there is a continuous exchange of fluid between Wraith and Hive. The disease must have been transmitted in this manner.
Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: Great, so we're flyin' around in a giant tumour.
