Did You Know?
The series had more broadcast experience behind it than it appeared. "Network 7" was produced by Sunday Productions, actually a wholly owned subsidiary of London Weekend Television, which is how the programme archive is now part of the ITV Studios Global Entertainment programme archive. Confusingly, rather than using their own LWT studios (aka "The London Studios"), they decided to use Limehouse Television in London Docklands. During this period, Limehouse Television studios were based in their converted banana warehouse. "Network 7" came from the unconverted part of the warehouse. The series ultimately ended due to re-development of the Limehouse TV studio site which became widely known as the towers of Canary Wharf. (In further inter-linking, Limehouse TV would move into studios at Wembley, that had previously been Studios for Associated-Rediffusion, the early studio base for LWT, before becoming known as Fountain Studios by 2019).
