A woman who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, an Irish tradition which occurs every time the date February 29 rolls around, faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to Dublin. With the help of an innkeeper, however, her cross-country odyssey just might result in her getting engaged.

The whole premise of the film is that on Leap Day (i.e. February 29th) a woman can ask a man to marry her in Ireland. Yet when they finally arrive in Dublin there are leaves on all the trees in the park and people are going around without any heavy coats. Either it is a freakishly warm winter or the filmmakers shot the scenes in Dublin during the summertime. See more
