Sex & Nudity

  • Two women passionately kiss and undress. Full frontal nudity is shown for a moment, oral sex portrayed, and extended female nudity afterwards as the characters chat.
  • A man is shown having bondage sex with a girl in two scenes. Bare breasts and butts are visible but no full frontal nudity.
  • A man and woman have sex and there is some nudity.
  • The overall theme of the film deals with prostitution and human trafficking.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman holds a man at gunpoint.
  • Three people are shot to death off screen. Blood and brain matter is shown splattered on nearby objects and blood is shown pooled under their corpses.
  • A woman tases a man in the neck and hangs him with a harness.
  • A man gets in a fight with a woman and knocks her out. He then fights another man and knocks him out.
  • A man leaves the building and sets it on fire, however the two people inside escape.
  • A woman shoots another man in the foot. No blood.
  • A woman forces a man at gunpoint to leave his computer on so she can get car info.
  • A man watches a DVD of a young woman getting raped. Much of it is off screen but we get one particularly disturbing image.
  • A man is doused in gas by a teen girl and is lit on fire.
  • A woman is punched to the ground by a man; she tases him in the crotch, but no effect. She is then knocked out.
  • A woman is shot several times, once in the head.
  • A woman, covered in blood, strikes a man with an axe a few times (he survives). She then shoots at a man several times but doesn't hit him.


  • There are 5 misuses of "Christ," and 2 of "God." The 'f' word, the 's' word, and many other curses are also used--frequently. There are also insults such as "bitch," and "cunt."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The lead character smokes a lot.
  • Unspecified drugs are shown for distribution.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several, especially near the end, more so than in the first film.
  • Another man is literally invulnerable to pain because of a strange genetic condition; therefore nothing that anyone can do to him will disturb him and he can inflict tortuous pain on others with no fear.
  • Lisbeth has nightmares of her horrifying rape from the first film.
  • In a flashback from the first film, a man is doused with gasoline and set on fire.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Lisbeth fights and tries to kill a man who, as it turns out, is her own abusive father, whom she assumed was dead. But she is also beaten to a bloody pulp.
