When Frankie Wharton discovers traces of cocaine in the recovered boat, Boyd and the team suspect that the Lovell family may have been involved in more that just fishing. Mark/Maria's cousins, Stephen and Martin, along with their friend Fin Dawley already had plans to convert the Lovell's industrial area to an upmarket shops and flats complex. The discovery of a body - headless and handless to limit identification - reveals the convoluted and complex family structure. Boyd is convinced that the most recent killing was perpetrated by the same person who killed off three members of the Lovell family 11 years before. The case takes a dramatic twist when they learn there is another police Superintendent working undercover in the area. The reason he is there may seriously hamper Boyd's investigation. Had me scratching my head, but I enjoyed it.

I watched patiently with complete concentration, as I remember this being confusing, I even remember it being on Points of View, with someone complaining about how confusing it was.

It was different to Part one, the tone was a little brighter, even a moment of humour, with Boyd and Mel getting marooned in the water.

I still don't think I fully understand the plot, the outcomes etc. I would dearly love somebody to explain it fully to me, but it was excellent. Who on Earth is Finn Dawley, and just how does he figure, the ending seems so abrupt.

One to ponder I guess. 8/10
