Packed to the Rafters (2008–2013)
- Summaries (3)
Centres around Dave and Julie Rafter and their three children Rachel, Ben and Nathan. On the eve of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary the couple thinks that they are finally about to have the house to themselves. But home is a very welcome refuge for their children and when unforeseen problems loom, they return like a boomerang.
Electrician Dave Rafter and his wife, Julie, expected the house would feel empty and quiet as their children become adult. Although Ben is eager to move out, even when he gets his dream as he buddy, neighbor 'Carbo', starts minding his parents' house, Ben keeps raiding the fridge, dropping laundry and asking advice and help. His sister Rachel is a hopeless screw-up in every sense, unable to finish anything. Youngest Nathan actually gets a good real estate agency job and a rich, devoted partner, but even they face misfortune leading to the couple moving in with Dave.
A series that a lot of parents can relate to these day, just when Dave and Julie think they finally have the house to themselves to be able to enjoy some quiet time, family members need to move back in. Interesting to see the situations and challenges the family face and how they cope with them. Excellent Australian series, great actors and believable characters.
